Sitting within the People & Culture leadership team, you'll be responsible for creating a modern, scalable and service-oriented operating model that delivers exceptional employee experiences while supporting organisational growth and transformation. The role combines strategic leadership with operational delivery, overseeing people services, technology optimisation, workforce insights and continuous improvement initiatives, in close partnership with Legal and the General Manager - People on governance and compliance matters. You'll have the opportunity to modernise people services and leave a lasting impact on employee experience, technology capability and operational effectiveness. ## About You You are a commercially minded People leader with extensive experience leading People Operations, HR Services, Employee Services or HR Technology functions. You'll Bring: - Significant leadership experience across People Operations, HR Services or HR Shared Services - Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g. BambooHR, Employment Hero, Workday, SuccessFactors), ideally including a platform migration or integration project - Strong Excel and analytical capability, with the ability to translate workforce data into insight for Executive/Board-level reporting - Expertise in service delivery, process improvement and operational excellence - Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation - An analytical mindset with the ability to leverage workforce data and insights to influence decision-making - Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders - A collaborative leadership style with a focus on capability building and team development Key Areas of Focus Include: - Developing and executing the People Operations and Technology roadmap and priorities - Leading and maturing people services and shared services capabilities - Driving process simplification, automation and digital transformation initiatives - Enhancing people systems, reporting and workforce data capabilities - Partnering with senior leaders to improve organisational effectiveness and employee experience - Building a high-performing team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement Technical & Experience Requirements: - Hands-on HRIS experience (e.g., BambooHR, Employment Hero, Workday, SuccessFactors), ideally including a platform migration or integration project - Strong Excel and analytical capability, with demonstrated ability to translate workforce data into insight for Executive/Board-level reporting - Direct people-leadership experience; has managed a team, not just an individual contributor in a People function - Programme/change management experience delivering multi-stakeholder, cross-functional systems projects - Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation - Working familiarity with AI tools in an HR context (recruitment screening, coaching/chat support, employee self-service); evaluating and implementing rather than building - Degree or diploma in HR, business management, or finance (or equivalent demonstrated experience) We’re powered by purpose We’re Switched On 💡 We know our customers because we listen and want to learn.
