This role will oversee the product teams responsible for the customer experience of Mr D on mobile apps and web. This position reports to the Takealot Group CPO and Mr D CEO and will be responsible for managing a team of 10+ Product Managers who oversee the Mr D customer experience and various business-facing applications. Your responsibilities will include: - As a member of the executive leadership of Mr D, contribute towards defining key business strategies and related tactical objectives to deliver against set growth and profitability targets for Mr D. - Play a meaningful leadership role across the Mr D product team to ensure ongoing alignment with the defined company values. - Work with executives and stakeholders to translate defined business objectives into a product vision for a number of product verticals, making use of relevant internal and external data sources. - Manage a team of product managers and designers responsible for delivering feature roadmaps for the Mr D customer-facing experience as well as the internal business-facing tools necessary for the day-to-day management of merchandising and marketing. - Promote a mindset of customer-centricity and champion user interface improvements based on industry best practices. - Drive workshops to ideate solutions for key business challenges and steer the execution of the solutions. - Advocate for experiment-driven learning and empower the product and engineering teams to iterate and improve on a daily basis. - Oversee the definition and tracking of KPIs that will inform decisions on product features and functionality. - Facilitate the alignment of project delivery expectations with stakeholders and ensure reliable delivery against them. - Define and evolve processes and ways of working to promote increased efficiency and output across product and engineering. - Work with engineering leadership to ensure product and engineering teams are properly structured to achieve the desired business outcomes. - Define hiring objectives to meet business goals and support recruitment efforts through the improvement of recruitment tools and processes. - Establish a culture of product management excellence with constant feedback and mentorship to highlight improvement opportunities for product managers across the organisation. Required Qualifications & Experience - A Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field - 10+ years of product management experience or relevant exposure (through projects or responsibilities). - At least 3 years of experience managing a team (or teams). - Proven track record of delivering business value through project delivery.
