Backed by Founders Fund, Felicis, First Round Capital, and Point72 Ventures, our founding team includes veterans from SpaceX, Helion, Blue Origin, and Apple. We have completed multiple deep-ocean deployments to subsea volcanoes and are launching a long-term demonstration project this fall. By leveraging modular design, manufacturing scale, efficient drilling, and latent cooling on the seafloor, we are pioneering a new category of energy that outperforms traditional sources on environmental impact, deployment speed, and cost. ## What you'll be doing As an Integration & Test Specialist at Endurance Energy, you will work alongside mechanical, fluids, and electrical engineers to assemble, plumb, instrument, and test complex systems under real-world conditions. You will be responsible for taking subsystems from parts to fully integrated hardware, pressure-tight, leak-free, instrumented, and ready for test. You will play a key role in debugging integration issues, improving build processes, and ensuring systems are safe and robust before deployment. You are expected to operate with high ownership on the floor: driving build quality, identifying issues early, and pushing systems to readiness without waiting for direction. This is a critical position where your speed, precision, and judgment directly impact our ability to hit hardware milestones on aggressive timelines. ## Key Responsibilities - Assemble mechanical and fluid systems including pressure vessels, piping, valves, and heat exchangers - Perform tubing and piping integration including routing, bending, cutting, and fitting - Execute high-quality plumbing of test systems and subsea hardware (Swagelok, compression fittings, welded systems, etc.) - Install sensors, instrumentation, and support hardware for test readiness - Perform pressure testing, leak checking, and system validation (hydrostatic and pneumatic) - Support system bring-up and debugging alongside engineering teams - Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and assembly documentation - Identify and resolve fit-up, tolerance, and integration issues in real time - Drive clean, organized, and repeatable build processes on the floor - Document builds, test setups, and issues for engineering and QA traceability - Support rapid prototyping and iteration under tight timelines - Maintain a safe working environment when operating high-pressure and high-temperature systems ## Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, fluid systems, or integration roles - Demonstrated experience assembling and testing complex mechanical or fluid systems - Strong experience with tubing, piping, fittings, and fluid system integration - Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs - Experience with pressure testing, leak detection, and system validation - Strong mechanical intuition and ability to troubleshoot integration issues quickly - High attention to detail and craftsmanship in assembly work - Track record of working effectively in fast-paced, prototype-driven environments - High ownership mindset and ability to operate independently with minimal supervision - Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers ## Preferred Skills - Experience with orbital tube welding and/or other high-reliability welding processes - Background in high-pressure systems, process piping, or thermal systems - Experience in marine, subsea, aerospace, or energy hardware environments - Familiarity with Swagelok or equivalent fluid system standards and best practices - Light fabrication and manual machining experience (lathe, mill, drill press) - Experience supporting test operations and building custom test infrastructure - Familiarity with cleanliness standards and contamination control for fluid systems - Ability to contribute to fixture design and integration tooling Compensation, Benefits, & Perks As a pre-revenue startup, Endurance Energy offers competitive base salaries and generous equity packages for full-time employees. Final base salary will be determined by an array of factors including internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and work experience. A key aspect of our compensation philosophy is that value creation should be aligned with rewards. Right now this means equity is a significant portion of every full-time employee's compensation. As the company matures, there will be continued evolution and changes to the total rewards and total compensation package. What will always be true is that if we win, we win together. Equity is granted to every full-time employee as a meaningful piece of ownership. We believe the people building the company should share directly in the value they create. In addition to a competitive base salary and equity, employees will receive all of our other great benefits and perks, including: - Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage - Time Away: Flexible PTO including 12 paid company holidays - Global Fieldwork: Travel to fascinating deployment sites along oceanic ridges in locations like the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, and the Azores - Hands-on Experience: Participate in sea trials and deployment operations in partnership with leading oceanographic institutions - Cutting-edge Development: Work with technology that spans high-power electronics, marine systems, and clean energy - Impactful Work: Help solve one of the world's most pressing challenges - Dive Certification: Company-sponsored recreational dive certification - Other Perks: Access to the company boat, free meals and snacks, and the list goes on! If you’re selected for consideration, a recruiter will be able to discuss in greater detail. ## About Endurance Energy ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Develops subsea geothermal power systems that harvest heat from deep-ocean volcanic and hydrothermal environments to generate always-on, zero‑emission baseload electricity. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A) - **Headquarters**: Seattle, Washington, United States - **Founded**: 2025 - **Founders**: Andrew Redd (former SpaceX engineer on Dragon and Starship programs) ## Core Business - **Primary Industry**: Renewable energy – subsea geothermal electric power generation. - **Target Customers**: B2B / B2G – AI infrastructure, hyperscale data centers, industrial electrification, advanced manufacturing, and island/coastal communities seeking reliable, off‑grid clean power. - **Mission/Purpose**: To unlock the largest untapped energy resource on Earth – subsea volcanic heat – and deliver gigawatt‑scale, carbon‑free baseload power to the grid. ## Products & Services - **Subsea Geothermal Generators (Core Platform)** – Integrated offshore drilling, subsea infrastructure, power generation equipment, and cable‑based delivery units designed to operate directly on the seafloor. - **Adelie (Planned 100 kW System)** – A fully integrated deployable platform combining drilling, generation, and power offtake.
