Position Overview: This position reports to an AI Development Team Lead and will collaborate with software developers, business teams, and technical stakeholders across the organization. This position is responsible for assisting with the research, development, testing, and implementation of AI-driven solutions that support NISC's software development lifecycle and business operations. Interns will gain hands-on experience exploring emerging AI technologies, analyzing business processes, prototyping innovative solutions, and evaluating opportunities to improve efficiency through intelligent automation. Based on intern interest and business needs, opportunities may exist to contribute to projects involving generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, intelligent automation, software development, and data analysis. Essential Functions: - Assists with researching and evaluating emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks. - Supports the development, testing, and documentation of AI-driven solutions and proof-of-concepts. - Assists in analyzing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements. - Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and explore AI-enabled use cases. - Performs testing and validation of AI solutions and related software enhancements. - Assists with data analysis, preparation, and organization in support of AI and machine learning initiatives. - Documents findings, processes, and project updates within Confluence and other internal tools. - Maintains regular communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
