Kensington is the flagship brand of Range Group, a portfolio that also includes Travel Edge, one of North America's largest luxury travel agency networks; Ensemble Travel; TripArc; and a growing family of Kensington-branded businesses - including Kensington Travel, which brings together Concierge, Corporate, Vacations, and Direct - spanning villas, cruise, corporate travel, and concierge services. As we continue to expand internationally, we are seeking exceptional sales professionals to help bring Kensington's highly personalized approach to luxury travel to a growing North American client base. Turn Your Passion into a Career Imagine spending your day talking about extraordinary places around the world and helping people experience them in ways they will remember for the rest of their lives. At Kensington, our International Destination Experts do much more than book travel, they serve as trusted advisors, storytellers and skilled sales professionals who design fully customized, privately guided journeys for discerning travellers. This is not a scripted call-centre or order-taker role. You own the client relationship end to end, from the first enquiry and sale, through trip planning and preparation, to supporting the client while they travel and welcoming them home. Success means not only closing the sale, but delivering an exceptional experience that builds loyalty, repeat business and referrals. We want to hear from exceptional, internationally experienced, sales talent who bring a worldly perspective to join us remotely from Nairobi, working remotely as part of a primarily Canada and US based sales team serving North American clientele. ## About The Role As an International Destination Expert, you will receive inbound leads from clients interested in planning exceptional luxury travel experiences. From there, you proactively reach out to clients to uncover their desires from their upcoming trip, recommend destinations and experiences, collaborate with our teams around the world to build a customized itinerary, bring that trip to life through storytelling, secure the sale, and remain accountable for the client relationship throughout the entire journey. You will work closely with our internal and in destination partners to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and ensure the experience Kensington sold is the experience the client receives - from booking through to their return home. Our clients make significant investments in trusting Kensington with their travels and expect expertise, responsiveness, insightful recommendations and highly personalized service. The sale is only the beginning of that responsibility. You remain the client's trusted point of contact, taking ownership when plans change, questions arise or something does not go as expected. International Destination Experts manage multiple clients at once, follow up persistently, learn product and destination updates, and close sales. The work is demanding and equally rewarding. Work Arrangement: - Kensington’s clients are primarily based in North America. Current hours of operations are 8:30AM to 8:00PM, Eastern Time. Flexibility to work weekends, evening shifts and statutory holidays is required. - Employees are responsible for reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional space for client video and phone calls What You Will Do: - Respond quickly and confidently to inbound leads from prospective travellers, repeat clients, referrals and travel partners - Lead thoughtful discovery conversations to understand client interests, expectations, lifestyle, and budget - Design personalized and customized itineraries in partnership with Kensington’s product and in-destination teams (Destination Management Companies or Ground Handling Agents) - Present unique and high-value proposals with confidence, use storytelling to bring each journey to life, and confidently ask for the sale - Navigate objections with solutions that showcase value, reinforce trust, and drive commitment - Own the client relationship and sales opportunity from initial enquiry through consultation, proposal, close, pre-trip preparation, travel and return home - Serve as the client’s primary trusted advisor throughout their Kensington journey, proactively communicating, anticipating needs and ensuring a seamless handoff between sales, operations and in-destination partners - Take ownership of client issues when they arise, working quickly with internal and in-destination partners to find solutions while keeping the client informed and confident - Deliver and exceed ambitious individual revenue targets - Deliver a high touch, white glove client experience before, during and after travel that builds long term relationships, repeat business and referrals - Maintain relationships beyond the first booking, identifying opportunities for future travel and becoming the client’s trusted advisor for subsequent journeys - Work collaboratively with Destination Experts and Sales Directors based in Canada & United States - Continuously build deep expertise in the destinations and products you are chosen to sell What You Bring: - 5+ years of professional sales and/or client relationship experience, including a minimum of 3 years in consultative, relationship-based sales - Experience working with North American clientele and/or North American companies - A successful track record of achieving or exceeding individual revenue targets and closing high value sales - Prior experience selling luxury or other high-value products and services - First-hand living and travel experience with the ability to speak naturally and confidently about destinations, cultures and experiences - Professional spoken and written English with the confidence to advise premium North American clients - A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the client experience - you don’t consider the job done when the sale closes - Sound judgment and composure when resolving complex or time-sensitive client issues, with the ability to balance client needs, commercial considerations and available solutions - Strong listening and emotional intelligence skills to understand what a client wants and does not want, even when they have not explicitly stated it - Ability to establish credibility and build trust over the phone and/or email - A polished, warm and persuasive communication style - Persistence in working towards a commitment, being undeterred by obstacles and objections - Strong organizational and follow-through while managing multiple clients and trips at once - Discipline and comfort in working independently in a remote environment, while being connected to your team virtually - The legal right to work, without sponsorship, in Kenya What You Get: - Competitive local base salary plus uncapped commission based on individual sales performance, with earning potential directly tied to results - The opportunity to build your own portfolio of clients, developing long term relationships that can lead to repeat travel, referrals and increasing earning potential - Paid time off in line with local norms and laws - A structured four-week onboarding program covering brand history, sales process, proprietary CRM system, product portfolio and destinations - Trips to experience our destinations and the Kensington product first-hand - IATA card for personal travel discounts and industry access - Ongoing mentorship and coaching within a company that actively promotes from within #LI-Remote The Range Group may use artificial intelligence throughout the recruitment process to screen, assess or select applicants for this position.
