We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salesforce Solutions Architect to play a key role in shaping and evolving our Salesforce ecosystem across  commercial, sales, and marketing. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence how Salesforce capabilities are designed, scaled and used to support a growing organization. The Salesforce Architect will own solution architecture while remaining hands-on with configuration and delivery, with a focus on Salesforce Service Cloud, Health Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. You will work closely with business leaders and IT partners to translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions that improve user experience, enable new capabilities, and deliver measurable value. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, technology and execution. Spending approximately 50% of their time designing and building solutions and 50% partnering with business stakeholders and IT peers to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-value Salesforce implementations in a regulated biotech environment. This role is based in our Lexington, MA office and requires employees to be onsite five days per week. Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): - Serve as the technical architect and technical owner for Salesforce Commercial platforms, including Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud and the use of AI features (Agentforce, Einstein, LLMs). - Actively design and hands-on configure Salesforce solutions, including objects, flows, security models, data structures, marketing automations and Agentforce AI agents. - Partner closely with Commercial Operations, Marketing, Patient Services and Analytics teams to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce architectures. - Design and support Marketing Cloud journeys, integrations, and data synchronization across Salesforce platforms and external systems. - Define and enforce Salesforce governance, best practices, and architectural standards across environments and teams. - Design and oversee integrations using APIs and middleware to connect Salesforce with data platforms and third-party vendors. - Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with data privacy and regulatory requirements. - Serve as technical liaison to Salesforce and external implementation partners, providing design leadership and quality oversight. - Support release management, environment strategy, and deployment across sandboxes and production. - Mentor administrators and developers and promote strong technical practices. Standout Skills for Impact: - Ability to lead brainstorming, requirement and use case sessions with key Business & IT stakeholders. - Convert requirements into functional prototypes and convey technical specs to external resources to develop end to end solution. - Continually stay abreast of key technology platforms, maintain technical roadmap for next 12 to 18 months. Present this to Business & IT stakeholders on a set cadence. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - 5+ years of Salesforce experience with hands-on configuration and solution design. - Experience architecting Salesforce Cloud solutions in a commercial or sales-driven environment. - Experience working with Sales, Service, Health or Life Science Cloud - Experience working with Marketing Cloud. - Experience working and integrating various third-party platforms for key communication channels (VOIP, Email, Text, Fax, Social Media apps) - Hands-on experience with Salesforce security, data architecture, sharing rules, and automation (Flows). - Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs or middleware. - Experience overseeing work performed by Salesforce partners or system integrators. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Experience with Marketing Cloud Journeys, Contact Builder, and data extensions. - Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence. - Experience supporting reporting, analytics, or data governance in Salesforce. - Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Health and / or Life Sciences Cloud preferred - Experience with Veeva platforms and solutions in a life sciences commercial environment is preferred. - Experience working in a regulated industry such as biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare preferred - Experience with Salesforce Cloud Voice and Call Center technologies (e.g. Genesys, Natterbox) preferred Compensation decisions are based on objective criteria including role responsibilities, experience/qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and external market benchmarks.
