Our mission combines our industry-leading tech platform with holistic service to streamline, simplify and expedite the immigration process for employers and individuals. We have an opening within Envoy's growing Legal team for a Junior Legal Counsel to join us on a full-time basis. This role provides legal support to the in-house legal team across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA, applying a sound grounding in legal concepts and legal research to advise internal teams on straightforward matters and to assist, under supervision, on more complex matters. The role negotiates and drafts a range of commercial contracts, including in German, and coordinates with internal stakeholders to gather facts and timelines for legal projects, tracks matters through to resolution, and flags issues requiring senior input. The role requires adaptability, sound judgement on when to escalate, and the ability to work across different legal systems and languages. As an International Junior Legal Counsel, you will assist in managing legal matters related to our global subsidiary entities as we continue to grow organically and through M&A, including: - Advise internal teams and triage requests. Serve as a first point of contact for internal legal queries; provide clear, practical advice on straightforward matters using approved guidance, playbooks and precedent, and identify and escalate more complex or high-risk matters to senior counsel with a recommended course of action. - Assist on complex matters under supervision. Support senior counsel on complex or novel legal matters and projects; carry out preparatory analysis, draft initial positions and options, and help implement agreed strategy, working within clearly defined supervision and escalation lines. - Negotiate and draft contracts, including in German. Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs and related agreements, including with German-speaking counterparties, adapting company templates and precedent to the deal at hand, and flag any departure from approved positions to senior counsel before agreeing terms. - Track matters and coordinate stakeholder engagement. Maintain trackers and dashboards reflecting the lifecycle status of contracts, renewals and corporate filings across multiple jurisdictions, and alert stakeholders to upcoming deadlines and required actions; engage with internal stakeholders across jurisdictions to gather facts, documents and timelines for legal matters and projects, and follow up on outstanding information to keep matters on schedule. - Provide practical legal input to commercial and operational teams. Respond to day-to-day legal queries from commercial, finance and operational stakeholders; explain legal concepts in clear business language, and route matters requiring senior input to the appropriate lawyer. - Conduct legal research and produce practical advice. Perform legal research on statutes, regulations, case law and industry guidance relevant to ongoing matters; identify risks and key developments, and translate findings into clear, structured advice for internal stakeholders and senior counsel, including issue framing, citations and practical implications for the business. - Improve contract templates and playbooks. Identify opportunities to improve contract templates, clause libraries and negotiation playbooks; propose process improvements that reduce turnaround time and improve consistency across jurisdictions. - Provide corporate governance support. Assist with maintaining corporate records and statutory registers across multiple jurisdictions, preparing routine resolutions and filings, organizing board materials, and ensuring governance documents are accurate, up to date, and properly stored. Assist with annual compliance tasks under attorney supervision. Assist with responding to KYC and due‑diligence requests by preparing corporate information packs, coordinating cross‑functional input, and ensuring accurate, timely submissions. To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications: - 2-3 years’ experience as a lawyer, ideally in commercial or corporate legal practice, at an international in-house team and/or at a law firm. - Proven experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and redlining contracts, including NDAs, commercial agreements and other legal documents, in both English and German. - Business fluency in German, with the ability to advise, negotiate and draft in German language (preferred but not mandatory) - Strong project‑management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of contracts and contribute to strategic legal initiatives. - Demonstrated capability conducting legal research and translating findings into clear, practical advice for internal stakeholders. - Excellent time‑management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines efficiently. - Ability to advise independently on straightforward matters and collaborate effectively with senior counsel on complex ones, within a fast-paced, cross-border team environment. - Experience maintaining and improving document templates, clause libraries, and standard forms. - Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues early, escalate appropriately, and propose practical solutions. - Ability to adapt quickly to different legal systems, cultures, and ways of working in an international environment. In return, you will work for a supportive, employee-focused organization that encourages staff to achieve a work-life balance, teamwork, and communication on a global scale with other offices. This role is 100% remote, working from home within the United Kingdom. If you feel that you meet our requirements, we look forward to hearing from you asap! ## About Envoy Global, Inc. ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Envoy Global is the leading corporate immigration services provider that combines legal expertise with smart technology to help companies attract, hire, manage, and retain a global workforce. - **Entity Type**: Private (no funding rounds disclosed) - **Headquarters**: Chicago, Illinois, USA - **Founded**: 1998 - **Founders**: Not publicly available ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Corporate immigration services, legal technology, global mobility - **Target customers**: B2B – companies of all sizes (SMB to Enterprise) seeking to hire and relocate international talent - **Mission or purpose statement**: To deliver a better way for companies to manage global immigration, turning borders into bridges for talent ## Products & Services - **Strategic Program Management**: Dedicated lawyers, program managers, and strategic insights to keep an organization’s immigration program running smoothly and in compliance. - **Global Work Authorizations**: Assistance with visa petitions, work permits, and permanent residency across 180+ countries. - **Consular Services & Business Travel**: Government liaison, travel visa support, and guidance for remote work assignments. - **Technology Platform**: A comprehensive case management system designed to put mobility professionals in control of every step of the immigration process. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total funding not disclosed; annual revenue not publicly available - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Not publicly listed; acquired Offer & Mastmann in Germany via its law firm, Corporate Immigration Partners, P.C.
