## Job description

takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Junior Payroll Officer to join our team in Cape Town.

The position reports to the Payroll Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing of appointment documents within agreed SLA time requirements
- Assisting with coordination of HR information/Communication/training sessions as required
- Liaising with benefits service providers as required
- Loading of employee profiles onto the Payroll System
- Filing of all HR – related documentation
- Establishing/maintaining employee records; ensuring that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis
- Processing of Termination documentation as required
- Processing of soft benefits offered by the company
- Assisting with HR administration and projects as required

Qualifications and Experience:

- Teritary qualification Businesss Management / Human Resources Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in an HR admin role with specific experience in a payroll administration environment
- Experience with time and attendance systems is required
- Experience working on ESS
- Knowledge of relevant, South African legislation (BCEA, UIF, SDA, PAYE, WCA)
- Accounting knowledge sufficient to perform journal entries and payroll account reconciliations
