You will be given the means and mentorship needed to succeed, and your creativity will be rewarded. ## About the Position Dexis is recruiting a Knowledge Manager to support anticipated programming with the Department of State (DOS). This opportunity will provide policy direction and oversight in the areas of international security, security assistance, military operations, and defense strategy and plans, specifically focused on Foreign Military Financing (FMF) and International Military Education and Training (IMET) military grant assistance programs. Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award. ## Responsibilities - Help to establish and maintain knowledge management practices. - Work closely with DOS to develop systems within the existing platforms. - Support engagement to strengthen the collection and collation of important materials and information for effective bureau and programming operations. - Work with assigned offices to identify bureau-level learning priorities. - Provide overall bureau-level leadership and guidance on KM to include an action plan and drive the implementation of the action plan. - Coordinate bureau or other KM working groups and steering committees. - Promote collaboration and cross-learning through events, workshops, and/or training and other formats. - Coordinate and coalesce information for the DOS or others related to reports, briefers, and presentations in a timely and organized manner and for internal and external stakeholders. - Coordinate and lead learning events and after-action reviews of bureau-wide activities/engagements. - Support learning and information-sharing needs of bureau, office or other coordination groups, etc, to provide robust and timely country and regional specific information for decision makers as directed by the bureau or offices. - Support other initiatives and priorities requiring KM and related subject matter expertise. - Propose and leverage needed IT and software to support KM initiatives. - Develop KM resources, guidance, and/or tools for DOS staff. - Provide, as needed, training or facilitation on specific KM topics, practices, or systems/platforms. - Other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned. ## Qualifications - Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience. - Active Secret Security Clearance. - Demonstrated experience building, implementing and maintaining knowledge sharing platforms and information sharing processes. - Experience supporting the Department of State or other USG agencies. - Strong written, oral, interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills. - Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize information to present complex issues clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. - Understanding how KM systems work alongside communications and learning capabilities in a large data-driven organization. - Experience working on KM systems that provide easy to access, user-friendly models for writing reports and briefers and for collaboration. - Deep understanding of KM systems and processes for a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. - Demonstrated experience working with teams across multiple sectors and building effective relationships. - Highly organized with both attention to detail and ability to influence and manage large projects. - Knowledge of MS Office Suite programs (including Excel, Word, and Power Point); and the full range of Google products. - Experience with KM appropriate software and solutions.
