In just one year, that product became the daily tool of thousands of legal professionals across Switzerland, Germany, and Liechtenstein, and a leading legal AI workspace in those markets. Now we are using that foundation to build something even bigger: an AI-native law firm in the US. Every case its lawyers solve becomes a productized, AI-native service: legal capability that scales, compounds, and can be deployed on demand for the next client. With a USD 4.5M raise, we're scaling internationally. You'll be joining a small, ambitious team of 17. ## The role You are the firm's first lawyer advising banks, funds, and insurers out of New York You will run real mandates for sophisticated financial-sector clients: regulatory, transactional, and advisory work where the answer is not in a template and the client is paying for judgment. Non-contentious by design. We will litigate too. And every matter you solve becomes a product. Working directly with the managing partner, founders, and our engineers, you turn your own expertise into AI-native services the firm can deploy for the next client in a fraction of the time. That is the whole thesis, and you are the person who proves it. This is a firm to be built, not a seat to fill. You will shape the practice, the client base, and how the work gets done. ## What you will do Client work - Advise banks, asset managers, funds, and insurers on regulatory, transactional, and structuring questions across US and cross-border mandates - Own matters end-to-end: scoping, analysis, memos, documentation, negotiation, regulator-facing work - Be the trusted counterpart to general counsel, heads of compliance, and in-house teams Productizing the practice - Turn each matter into a reusable, AI-native service: the analysis, the precedents, the decision logic - Work side by side with our engineers to build the tooling that does the work with you - Set the quality bar and the review standards that make AI-produced legal work defensible Building the firm - Help stand up the New York practice: structure, intake, precedent library, engagement terms - Develop the client base together with the founders, from first conversation to signed mandate - Bring in and mentor the lawyers who follow you This list will not stay static. As the firm grows, so does your scope. ## Who you are - Admitted to the New York bar, with a clean disciplinary record - Several years at a leading US firm or in-house at a bank, fund, or insurer, with real ownership of financial-sector matters - Deep in at least one of: banking and financial regulation, funds and asset management, insurance regulatory, structured products, or financial transactions - Advisory and transactional by temperament. - Commercially sharp. You can read what a client actually needs and price and scope the work accordingly - Entrepreneurial. The prospect of building a firm from the first mandate is the reason you are interested - Native/fluent English, based in or moving to New York Bonus: - Existing relationships with GCs or compliance leadership at banks, funds, or insurers - Cross-border experience with European financial institutions - You have built something with AI, not just used it. An automation, an agent, a workflow. Tell us what it does ## Why join Omnilex - Partner-level scope from day one: your own clients, your own mandates, your own name on the work - You work with leverage no traditional firm can give you: your expertise, productized, deployed again and again - Sophisticated financial-sector clients and substantive mandates, without the billable-hour machine - Compensation that rewards what you build and bring in, without the capital commitment and lock-in of an equity partnership - Direct line to the managing partner, founders, and the engineers building the product -- Legal services in the US are provided by an independent law firm owned by licensed attorneys. Omnilex is its technology and operations partner. ## About Omnilex ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Omnilex provides an AI-powered workspace that helps legal professionals research laws, court decisions, and literature, draft documents, and analyze cases with transparent citations. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed/Series A — raised $4.5M in November 2025) - **Headquarters**: Zurich, Switzerland - **Founded**: Not publicly available (team and product suggest inception around 2023–2024) - **Founders**: Etienne Salimbeni (CEO & Co-founder), Marco Henri (CTO & Co-founder); also lists Ari Jordan as Technical Co-Founder on LinkedIn ## Core Business - **Primary Industry**: Legal Technology (LegalTech) / AI for Legal - **Target Customers**: B2B — law firms, corporate legal departments, in-house legal teams, enterprise legal organizations - **Mission**: To reduce the time and complexity of legal research so that legal professionals can focus on strategic, high-value work. ## Products & Services - **Omnilex Legal Research**: AI-powered Q&A that returns well-founded answers based on statutes, case law, and legal commentaries, with verifiable citations. - **Omnilex Grid**: Granular search across curated sources (court rulings, commentaries, internal documents) for precise filtering. - **Omnilex Playbooks**: Automated workflow templates for common legal tasks. - **Omnilex Word Add-In**: Microsoft Word integration for drafting documents while accessing legal research. - **Omnilex Cases**: Upload case documents for AI analysis and consideration within research results. - **Legal Translations**: Accurate, format‑preserving translations for multilingual legal work. - All offerings are SaaS‑based; enterprise plans include custom integrations and APIs. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total Funding — $4.5M (raised in November 2025) - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Lead investor not publicly named; development partner of the Swiss Federal Chancellery; member of the ETH AI Center - **Growth Signals**: 140% year‑over‑year employee growth (from ~4 to ~11–20 employees); over 6,000 lawyers rely on Omnilex; expansion into Liechtenstein (announced January 2026); multiple open engineering and go‑to‑market roles ## Competitive Advantages - Deep focus on Swiss and German legal sources — a niche that general‑purpose AI tools do not cover well. - Transparent, verifiable citations that meet the standards of legal professionals. - Developed with and validated by the Swiss Federal Chancellery. - Founders and team from ETH Zurich and EPFL — top technical universities. - Highest data protection: all data stored and processed on certified Microsoft Azure Cloud, compliant with Swiss privacy and professional secrecy laws. ## Strategic Focus - Geographic expansion into German‑speaking Europe (Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria). - Deepening academic and research partnerships (e.g., ETH AI Center). - Building enterprise‑grade features (SSO, custom integrations, priority support) for large legal teams. - Enhancing the product with more automation (Playbooks) and multilingual capabilities. ## Why Work Here - **Work Model**: Hybrid — office presence in Zurich (HQ) and Berlin; several roles explicitly list “Hybrid” (Zürich). - **Team & Culture**: Small, fast‑growing team (~11–20) where each hire has outsized impact; strong engineering culture (AI Engineers, Forward Deployed AI Engineers, Legal Engineers). - **Growth Trajectory**: Recent $4.5M funding, 140% headcount growth, and expanding client base provide career velocity. - **Notable Perks**: Not publicly detailed, but typical for a well‑funded Swiss startup; roles include training and priority support for enterprise clients. - **Recognition**: Part of ETH AI Center; trusted by leading Swiss law firms. ## Sources 1.
