We're producing a high-profile live fashion competition for a major entertainment brand this summer—and we need someone who knows how to find extraordinary talent, guide them through a multi-stage selection process, and deliver them to the stage ready to shine. As our Live Event Talent Producer, you'll own the entire competition pipeline—from sourcing and outreach through selection, onboarding, and on-site production, including VIP and celebrity coordination. ## WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE - Outreach efforts to colleges, programs, and communities, consistently generating high-quality submissions that align with the show’s creative and eligibility requirements. - Selected contestants are clearly communicated with, fully onboarded, and arrive at event week prepared, informed, and confident. - Contestants feel supported, respected, and well-informed throughout the process — from first outreach through post-event follow-up. - On event days, contestants’ operations run calmly and efficiently, with issues resolved quickly and discreetly without impacting the show experience. - Your work on the competition serves as the foundation for expanded talent responsibilities across the entire event. ## WHO YOU ARE - You've managed large talent pools—whether in unscripted competition, casting, pageants, or live entertainment—and you know how to move people through a structured selection process without losing the human touch. - You are systems-first: you love building simple workflows (templates, trackers, comms cadences) that scale. - You know how to talk to high-profile talent, judges, clients, and crew with equal confidence and warmth. - You are highly discreet, professional, and trusted with sensitive information. - You’re calm under pressure and resourceful when plans change at the last minute. - You write clearly and follow through - your recaps, deadlines, and next steps keep everyone aligned. ## KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead contestant sourcing and outreach, including partnerships with relevant colleges and institutions, development of outreach materials, and execution of an effective applicant cadence. - Own contestant intake and selection operations end to end, including eligibility screening, applicant communications, centralized tracking (Airtable), timelines, and decision documentation. - Design and deliver a high-quality virtual contestant and judging experience, including platform setup, judge onboarding, scoring rubrics, scheduling, technical readiness, and contingency planning. - Notify and onboard selected contestants, managing communications, deliverables, and readiness through the onsite event. ## ROLE REQUIREMENTS - Experience managing large talent pools in entertainment, casting, or live events—you've moved a high volume of people through a structured selection process. - Strong prioritization and time management skills. - Ability to create and manage a database of contestants and metabolize client notes with grace. - Professional discretion, organization, adaptability, and meticulous attention to detail. - Ability to work nights and weekends as needed. ## BONUS POINT - Experience in unscripted casting, competition show production, or segment producing. - Genuine connection to fandom culture, pop culture, or the Broadway/entertainment community. - Experience producing in large venue environments (arenas, convention centers, ballrooms). ## TOOLS YOU’LL USE - Planning & Collaboration: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Asana - Documents & Tracking: Microsoft Word, Excel, Airtable - File Sharing: Dropbox ## THE DETAILS - Availability: Approximately 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility to scale as the position grows. - Location: Hybrid, in midtown Manhattan - Travel: Major West Coast live event requiring an on-site presence for the full event week. - Contract Term: Project-based through Summer 2026, with opportunity to expand scope based on performance. - Start Date: ASAP - Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. If this role feels like a stretch in all the right ways, we’d love to hear from you. Tell us how your skills, experience, and unique point of view can level up this team and the stories we’re bringing into the world. Dream Three is an equal opportunity employer. We value a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and perspectives, and strongly encourage candidates from historically underrepresented communities to apply. ## About Dream Three ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Dream Three is a multi-platform story studio that develops and produces narrative content for film, television, stage, audio, publishing, and immersive experiences, focusing on elevated genre and prestige drama. - **Entity Type**: Private - **Headquarters**: New York, New York, United States (with an office in West Hollywood, California) - **Founded**: 2013 - **Founders**: Jeremy Merrifield and Michael James Scott ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Entertainment (Film, Television, Theater, Audio, Publishing, Immersive Experiences) - **Target customers**: B2B (networks, studios, streaming platforms, advertisers) and B2C (audiences for produced content) - **Mission or purpose statement**: To shine a light on untold, personal stories that ignite courage, bring about social change, and awaken an audience’s sense of wonder; to be a home where talent-on-the-rise is nurtured and inspired to do their best work. ## Products & Services - **Film & Series Production**: Development and production of narrative feature films and series television, with recent projects like the short film *BALLOON* (starring Paul Scheer) which premiered at Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Short Fest, and *LINE*, a short film based on the founder's childhood in a commercial fishing community. - **Theater**: Production and development of stage works, including a concert and workshop for Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown’s debut musical *SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD*. - **Audio & Podcast**: Production of audio content and podcasts. - **Publishing & Immersive**: Expansion into publishing and immersive experience projects. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly available (private company) - **Key Metric**: Total Funding – Not disclosed (bootstrapped/privately held) - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Partners include **Range Media Partners** (management), **William Morris Endeavor (WME)** (agency), **Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer** (legal, film + series), **Swanson, Martin & Bell** (legal, music), and **Sher Gelb Business Management**. - **Growth Signals**: Headcount grew **+28.6% year-over-year** to 5 employees.
