This includes managing assigned team members’ performance of modification, maintenance, preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving the strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics, leadership experience, and a passion for innovation in the aviation industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Leads daily avionics operations. Supports and guides avionics technicians in troubleshooting, installations, inspections, and repairs - Performs and oversees avionics work. Executes and supervises avionics installations, system integrations, and return‑to‑service testing - Ensures FAA & Part 145 compliance by maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements, documentation standards, and TAS quality procedures - Coordinates workflow and scheduling. Evaluates manpower and tooling, assigns tasks, manages shop priorities, and ensures efficient project flow - Supports customer communication by explaining findings, upgrade options, timelines, and technical recommendations - Maintains documentation accuracy and ensures proper logbook entries, wiring diagrams, test results, and RTS paperwork - Mentors and develops technicians by providing training, coaching, and skill development to build a strong avionics bench - Assists with complex troubleshooting and provides technical guidance on advanced electrical and avionics system issues - Promotes a safe, organized shop and maintains a clean, safe, and professional avionics workspace - Contributes to process development, administrative guidance, tooling needs, equipment planning, and long‑term department growth - Other duties as assigned. The expected WA salary range for this position is between $110,000.00 - $151,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
