We're building the operating infrastructure for virtual primary care: the systems, agreements, and compliance backbone that let our advanced practice providers practice safely and efficiently across states. We move fast, document our work, and expect the same rigor from everyone on the team. ## About the Role We're hiring a Manager of NP Licensure & Collaborative Practice to own the relationships and administration that let our nurse practitioners legally practice telehealth in every state we operate. You'll manage our roster of collaborating physicians, stand up and maintain collaborative practice agreements (CPAs), and run primary source verification on NP licenses so we can employ and deploy providers with confidence. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, operations, and provider relations: you're the person who keeps our NP-CP structure legally sound and operationally smooth. What the Work Looks Like - Manage our bench of collaborating physicians: track capacity, match CPs to NPs, and run onboarding for new CPs stepping into the role - Build and maintain state-specific and provider-specific CPA templates, and set up new CPAs and their collateral paperwork - Review completed CPAs, file them internally, submit any required state paperwork, and update licensure records once agreements are signed - Run primary source verification and license viability review for new and existing NPs, and communicate findings to providers and internal stakeholders - Track licensure and CPA status across states, follow up on outstanding issues, and drive licenses to viability - Handle licensure-related escalations (for example, a pharmacy declining to fill a prescription written by an NP in a given state) and resolve them with the relevant board or party - Serve as the subject matter expert on NP licensure and collaborative practice compliance: research open questions, correspond with state boards, and keep a record of key decisions - Support NP offboarding as it relates to collaborative relationships, coordinating state-specific requirements with CPs - Provide pre-hire licensure review for NP candidates and feedback to the recruiting team via Ashby ## Qualifications - Experience with NP/APRN licensure, credentialing, or collaborative practice agreements in a healthcare or telehealth setting - Working knowledge of multi-state licensing board processes and primary source verification - Comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems and building process where none exists yet - Strong documentation habits: you write things down so the next person (or your future self) doesn't have to guess - Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools in your daily workflow (not just familiarity with them) - High attention to detail: this work has real regulatory consequences ## Why General Medicine You'll build the licensure and collaborative practice function from the ground up at a company that's scaling telehealth nationally. Your work directly determines whether our NPs can see patients, which means it matters every single day. ## About General Medicine ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: General Medicine is a digital health platform that connects patients to a nationwide network of clinicians and specialists for transparent, on-demand primary care, lab testing, and prescription services. - **Entity Type**: Private (Venture Capital-Backed, Early Stage VC) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, USA (corporate office also listed in Salt Lake City, Utah) - **Founded**: 2024 - **Founders**: Ashwin Muralidharan (CEO) and Elliot Cohen (Executive Chair) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Digital Health, Telemedicine, Information Services (B2C) - **Target customers**: B2C (individuals seeking convenient, transparent healthcare), with potential future B2B/enterprise partnerships - **Mission or purpose statement**: "Raising your standard of care" – to deliver clear, proactive, and tailored healthcare that is accessible and affordable for everyone. ## Products & Services - **General AI**: An AI-powered chatbot that provides health insights based on user history and helps guide next steps, from booking a visit to ordering labs. - **Primary Care (Virtual)**: On-demand consultations with board-certified clinicians for everyday needs (flu, prescriptions, referrals). - **Lab Testing**: Direct ordering of 100+ lab tests with transparent, up-front pricing (cash or insurance accepted). - **Specialist Referrals**: Coordinated access to over 40 clinical specialists, with rapid turnaround (hours, not months). - **Prescription Services**: Clinicians write and send prescriptions to the user’s pharmacy. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total funding raised $32M (Early Stage VC, May 2025) - **Notable Investors/Partners**: BoxGroup, Founder Collective, JSL Health Capital, Matrix, Solari Capital (6 investors total); Lead Investor TJ Parker (co-founder of PillPack) - **Growth Signals**: 53 employees (as of 2025), active hiring for 17+ positions (2026), launched full labs experience (Aug 2025), growing job postings (+30.8% quarterly), strong LinkedIn engagement with events and thought leadership. ## Competitive Advantages - **AI‑first triage**: Proprietary "General AI" that listens and guides patients, reducing friction and improving access. - **Transparent, up‑front pricing**: No hidden fees; cash and insurance prices shown before booking. - **Integrated specialist network**: Direct coordination with 40+ specialists, enabling faster, more comprehensive care than traditional telehealth. - **Founding team & investor credibility**: Led by ex‑PillPack and Amazon Pharmacy executives (Ashwin Muralidharan, Elliot Cohen, TJ Parker), providing deep domain expertise. ## Strategic Focus - **Scaling AI capabilities**: Deepening the "General AI" experience to handle more complex health queries and triage. - **Expanding service lines**: Growing lab testing, specialist referrals, and potentially in‑person care partnerships. - **Building a distributed clinical workforce**: Hiring remote physicians and nurse practitioners across the US. - **Product and engineering growth**: Active recruiting for full‑stack, mobile, and frontend engineers to build the consumer platform. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Mission‑driven team focused on "raising the standard of care" with compassion, clarity, and proactive support.
