This role develops and executes fundraising strategies that strengthen corporate partnerships, secure renewed and expanded investments, and deliver an exceptional partner experience. Reporting to the Director of Partner Engagement, this role owns a portfolio of corporate funders with accountability for renewal, retention, and revenue growth. Success in this role requires experience managing corporate donor relationships, leading renewal conversations, identifying expansion opportunities, and achieving fundraising or revenue goals. This is an individual contributor role with the potential for future people management responsibilities. This role requires strong fundraising and relationship management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize efficiently. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, and comfortable communicating with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, from program contacts to executive leaders. This role is NY-based and requires 2 days in-office per week, in compliance with our hybrid work policy. ## Key Responsibilities - Own a portfolio of corporate partners with accountability for annual fundraising, renewal, retention, and revenue growth goals. - Develop and execute strategic account plans that position partners for successful renewals and expanded investment. - Lead renewal strategy and fundraising conversations for assigned partners, including proposal development, benefit negotiations, and stewardship planning. - Manage moves management activities for assigned partners, including tracking key milestones, renewal timelines, and action items - Analyze partnership data and trends, with guidance from the Director, to inform renewal planning, forecasting, and growth opportunities - Leverage partner feedback, survey data, and engagement insights to strengthen renewal strategy and overall partner experience - Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver partner benefits, sponsorship commitments, and stewardship activities that support successful fundraising renewals and long-term partner retention. - Create concise and compelling written materials, including partner proposals, reports, briefing documents, and concept notes - Build strong knowledge of Girls Who Code programs and serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners - Advocate internally for partner priorities and strategic relationship needs - Track and maintain accurate partnership activity, engagement data, and renewal forecasting within Salesforce and related systems - Represent Girls Who Code at partner meetings, events, and convenings as needed - Demonstrate willingness to manage a potential future Partner Engagement Associate hire, providing mentorship, guidance, and portfolio support as the team grows ## Qualifications - 4-5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years managing corporate fundraising, corporate philanthropy, corporate partnerships, strategic account management, or business development with responsibility for revenue, renewals, or growth goals. - Experience leading fundraising, renewal, sponsorship, or investment conversations with corporate partners. - Demonstrated success managing a portfolio with fundraising, renewal, retention, or revenue targets. - Experience managing corporate philanthropy or CSR partnerships is strongly preferred. - Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously - Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing partner-facing materials - Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and identify opportunities for improvement - Strong sense of accountability to deadlines, fundraising goals, and portfolio performance - Comfort working across distributed and in-person teams - Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, or willingness to learn quickly - Familiarity with sales engagement tools such as Yesware or similar platforms preferred - Interest in or knowledge of technology, education, workforce equity, or the nonprofit sector preferred - Alignment with our mission to close the gender gap in technology fields through a dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion Girls Who Code is committed to building a truly diverse and inclusive organization with a focus on valuing, serving, and understanding our target constituents, while challenging all stakeholders to think inclusively for the betterment of our programs.
