## Job description

MEP Designer ,Toronto, ON

Key Responsibilities:

An MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Designer will be responsible for the planning, design, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within building projects.

- Develop comprehensive MEP design concepts, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, tailored project requirements and client specifications
- Use design software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools) to produce 2D and 3D models, schematics, and construction drawings
- Work with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with the overall building design
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and materials for MEP installations
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and provide technical guidance to resolve design conflicts or issues
- Review contractor drawings and installation methods to ensure compliance with design plans

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field
- 6-8 years’ experience in MEP design
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing system design.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience in consulting engineering in the pharmaceutical or food and beverage industries an asset.
