Our content library contains 15+ million commercially-licensed fonts, graphics, SVGs, and templates, giving you professional-quality building blocks without the expense or time of creating assets from scratch.

About the role:

This is a full-time, in-office role at our Amsterdam HQ, with an annual allowance of 30 work-from-anywhere days.

Creative Fabrica is building a new generation of AI products, and we want the quality and speed of our creative output to match the ambition of the products themselves. We're building an in-house creative team that supports everything from product launches and educational content to social channels, campaigns and partnerships - and motion will be a major part of how we demonstrate our products, explain new capabilities and capture attention across these channels.

As a Motion Designer, you will create motion assets across Creative Fabrica's AI products and marketing channels. You'll work closely with our Educational Content Producer, Graphic Designer, Video Editor, Product Marketing and channel owners to turn ideas, product capabilities and launches into compelling visual content.

This is not a role where you will spend weeks perfecting a single brand film. We want someone who can produce excellent work quickly, experiment with different creative directions and build reusable systems that allow us to dramatically increase our creative output. You'll have significant creative freedom: sometimes you'll receive a clear brief; other times you'll be given a product, message or objective and expected to develop the creative approach yourself.

What you will do:

- Create motion across every channel - motion graphics and animations for product launches, social content, paid campaigns, educational content, partnerships and brand initiatives
- Bring AI products to life - turn AI product features and outputs into visually compelling demonstrations that immediately communicate what the product can do, from animated demos and UI animations to explainers, typography and social assets
- Develop concepts from an objective - build motion ideas from an initial objective or loose idea rather than relying solely on detailed creative briefs
- Design for specific channels - create channel-specific assets for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and other distribution channels, adapting successful concepts into different formats, aspect ratios and use cases
- Experiment and iterate fast - test hooks, pacing, visual styles and formats to understand what captures attention, and produce multiple creative variations quickly so channel and growth teams can test different approaches
- Collaborate across the creative team - add motion, visual storytelling and polish to educational and product content with the Educational Content Producer and Video Editor, support Product Marketing on launches, and develop a consistent visual language across static and motion with our Graphic Designer
- Build systems that scale - create reusable motion templates, components and systems that make future production faster and more consistent
- Push AI-enabled production - use AI tools as part of the creative process and continuously experiment with new AI-enabled production workflows
- Keep quality high at speed - maintain a high level of visual quality while operating at the pace of a fast-moving growth team, staying current with motion design, social content and emerging visual trends

What you will need:

- 2+ years of motion design experience - in motion design, animation or a similar creative role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality motion design across digital formats
- Strong After Effects proficiency - plus relevant Adobe Creative Cloud tools, and comfort working with video footage, product recordings, UI elements and static design assets
- Excellent motion fundamentals - a strong understanding of animation principles, typography, composition, timing and visual hierarchy
- End-to-end ownership - able to take a project from concept and storyboard through animation and final delivery, working within existing brand systems while developing new visual directions
- Digital and social fluency - experience creating motion specifically for digital and social platforms, with a strong grasp of formats, resolutions and aspect ratios
- Speed and execution focus - able to produce high-quality work quickly, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ship rather than endlessly polish
- Proactive creative instincts - able to develop ideas without a detailed brief for every project, balancing creativity with commercial and performance objectives. Good written and spoken English

Nice to have:

- 3D and adjacent tools - experience with Blender or Cinema 4D, Figma and product/UI animation, or Premiere Pro and other editing software
- Generative AI experience - hands-on work with AI image and video tools
- Performance creative experience - high-performing social or advertising creative, or an understanding of performance marketing and creative testing
- High-output environments - experience in a startup, creative studio or similar, ideally creating motion for AI, SaaS, technology or consumer products
