We're building America's national imaging network: the infrastructure that connects patients, providers, and payers to faster, better-value diagnostic imaging. Thousands of patients move through our platform every day, and each is a real person waiting for an answer to a healthcare concern. We exist to get them that answer faster. We manage the medical imaging pathway end-to-end. Providers order through a single point of entry, and from there, we run the entire medical diagnostic pathway. Managing the full pathway, rather than brokering pieces of it, is what lets us deliver imaging faster, at higher quality, and at a lower cost than the fragmented status quo. We're looking for a Mobile MRI Technologist at an exciting time. We've raised over $200m in funding to date, reached profitability, and are growing 100% year on year. Millions of people wait too long for a diagnosis. Come help us fix that. ## WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN As a Mobile MRI Technologist, you are the clinical heartbeat of our physical operations. Reporting to the Director of Imaging Performance, you will lead the day-to-day clinical functions of our high-end mobile units. Unlike traditional "traveling" roles, our units are permanently parked, providing a stable home base for you to deliver exceptional care. You will be responsible for the end-to-end patient experience, from safety screening to high-fidelity imaging, while ensuring our facilities meet the gold standard of ACR compliance. As a scale-up business, you can expect your role to develop over time. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in: - Clinical Precision: Executing high-quality MRI scans with a focus on diagnostic excellence and patient comfort. - Patient Care: Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by explaining MRI procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout imaging exams. - System Management: Taking full "ownership" of our Siemens Espree systems, ensuring the system performs at peak levels. - Quality Assurance: Managing documentation of daily QC/QA procedures required for safety and accreditation. - Patient Advocacy: Leading patient screening and safety protocols to ensure a seamless, anxiety-free experience for every visitor. - Technical Troubleshooting: Acting as the first line of defense for the unit by identifying equipment issues and collaborating with Field Service Engineers. - Workflow Optimization: Utilizing Acuity Scheduling and Google Workspace to manage patient flow and maintain digital records. THE TOP 5 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE - Clinical Autonomy: Establish yourself as the trusted lead for your site, managing full-day scan schedules with zero-to-minimal oversight. - ACR Gold Standard: Successfully lead or maintain the ACR certification process for your mobile unit, ensuring 100% compliance with safety standards. - Operational Fluidity: Master Acuity and Google Workspace to ensure all patient documentation is 100% accurate and submitted in real time. - Zero Downtime Mentality: Develop a proactive maintenance relationship with Field Service Engineers, identifying and flagging potential system issues before they impact the patient schedule. - Patient Satisfaction: Maintain a high patient NPS (Net Promoter Score) by delivering a "concierge-style" imaging experience that aligns with the [Scan.com](http://Scan.com) mission. ## WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE These might be some of the ways you are currently adding value: - Accreditation: You hold a current ARRT (MR) credential. - Technical Expertise: You have extensive experience specifically navigating and scanning on Siemens Espree MRI systems. - Compliance Knowledge: You have a proven track record of obtaining or maintaining ACR certification for MRI facilities. - Safety First: You have a deep understanding of MRI safety protocols and rigorous screening procedures. - Problem-Solving Skills: You are comfortable troubleshooting technical issues and communicating effectively with engineers and stakeholders. - Digital Literacy: You are proficient with Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets) and are a quick study when it comes to scheduling software like Acuity. - Location Specifics: You are comfortable working in Humboldt Park. - Note: For Chicago, a dedicated parking spot is provided one block from the site. ## AI REQUIREMENTS At [Scan.com](http://Scan.com), AI isn't a side project; it's how we work. We expect everyone to use AI to think faster, remove drudgery, and multiply their output. What we care about is judgment: knowing when AI makes you sharper, when it doesn't, and how to use it responsibly around patient data. We'll assess this in the way that matters for this role, using the tier below. You don't need to be an engineer. You need to be someone who reaches for the best tool and gets more done as a result. - Tier 3 — For this role, the expectation is that you are AI-Aware. You lead with subject matter expertise, but you're comfortable using AI for things like admin, documentation, or research, so you can spend more time with patients—and you know where AI stops, and human judgment has to take over. (clinical, hands-on, and highly regulated roles where hands-on expertise is the core value) - Assessment: A practical exercise where you use AI tools live or in a take-home. ## OUR VALUES Always Play Offense If we're not growing, we're dying. Everyone needs a bias for action. Speed and momentum, combined with quality execution, propel our business forward. - You don't quit on hard problems. Fail fast, dust off, go again. - You celebrate wins, then seek the next opportunity. - You see it, you fix it. No task is beneath you, at any level. Build with the Best The company we build is the team we build. If we don't have the right people in the right seats, doing the right things, we will fail. - Talent recognizes talent. You actively bring quality hires into the business. - You trust your colleagues to deliver. - You open-source your knowledge. You're never a single point of failure. Care Deeply, Challenge Directly Care enough to have the hard conversations, and don't dwell on them. Don't go up the chain to communicate. Go straight to the person. - Strong opinions, weakly held. You welcome challenge and feedback. - You get to the point: direct challenge plus an alternative solution. - You ask "why". Before calling something bad, understand why it exists. Embrace Growth, Be Curious Push the limits of your understanding and potential and you will be supported to get better. - You proactively seek feedback, whatever your level. - You invest in understanding our business: teams, customers, processes. - You invest in your own growth and are willing to unlearn. We're a high-performing team with low ego. We hire people who are brilliant and kind, who give it straight, back it up with evidence, and change their mind when the facts change. We'll give you real ownership early, the tools to do the best work of your career, and colleagues who raise your game. In return, we ask for high standards, genuine care for patients and each other, and the drive to leave things better than you found them. If that sounds like you, let’s talk! ## HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU We keep our interview process short and sweet, and we're a nimble team that can progress at pace. Here are the stages you can expect, but we might switch up the order of each step depending on team availability: - Introductory call/interview with our Senior Talent Partner. The call is via telephone and will last around 30 minutes. - Should it feel like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a video call with the hiring manager for around 45 minutes. This is a more structured interview that will deep-dive into the role and technical needs. - 'Scan Standard' interview, where our panel screens for values alignment and the success factors that matter at [Scan.com](http://Scan.com). You will also be assessed on your AI fluency at the stage and depth relevant to your role (see AI Requirements above). - Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, length varies depending on how many people and whether in person or via video call. - Offer! ## WHAT WE OFFER We go beyond the basics with our benefits package. We believe great work starts with supporting our people. Here's what you can expect from us: - Salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 - Flexible remote or hybrid work options - Dedicated personal development budget - Medical, vision, and dental coverage - 28+ days of paid time off across PTO and wellbeing days, so you can show up at your best - Paid parental leave - 401k retirement plan - All the equipment you need to do your best work - Inclusive, people-first policies designed by our team, for our team DIVERSITY AT [SCAN.COM](http://Scan.com) [Scan.com](http://Scan.com) is committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity within our team. Includes 24/7 concierge care and transport support. - **[Provider Platform (Provider-facing SaaS)**: A platform for imaging centers (radiologists, hospitals) to manage bookings, reduce administrative friction, and fill unused capacity. - **[Payer Solutions (for Insurers)**: Technology and network access to reduce costs, improve patient compliance, and streamline prior authorization for diagnostic imaging. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly disclosed. - **Key Metric (Funding)**: Total funding of **$117 million** across multiple rounds. The largest round was a **$50 million Series B (and a separate venture round of $50M) in late 2023**, led by Aviva Ventures. Other notable rounds include a $12M Series A in April 2023 and $2.5M Pre-Seed in 2021. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Aviva Ventures (Lead), YZR Capital, Oxford Capital, Lopo Champalimaud (founder/ex-CEO of Treatwell). The company is backed by "some of the world’s leading healthcare and technology investors." - **Growth Signals**: - **Scaled over 200,000 patients scanned** and has a network of 200+ providers globally. - **Strong market position**: Built the UK’s largest marketplace for self-pay MRI scans and is now expanding into the US market. - **Workforce growth**: Active headcount of 140 employees, with a **yearly growth rate of +24.3%** (LinkedIn, Feb 2026). - **High demand**: Continues to have multiple open positions across Engineering, Operations, and Sales. ## Competitive Advantages - **Network Effects**: A true two-sided marketplace that connects patients (demand) with imaging centers (supply). As more patients use the platform, more providers want to join, and vice-versa. - **Market Opportunity**: Tackling a massive, fragmented, and outdated $500B+ global market for diagnostic imaging. The company is modernizing a system that is slow, opaque, and inefficient. - **First-Mover & Data Moat**: As the largest marketplace in the UK, they possess unique data on pricing, capacity, and patient behavior that competitors lack. - **Full-Stack Solution**: They are not just a booking app; they are integrating the entire ecosystem (patient, provider, payer, technology) to solve the core infrastructure problem. ## Strategic Focus - **US Market Expansion**: The primary strategic focus. After proving the marketplace model in the UK, the company is aggressively scaling its US operations, as evidenced by recent US-based hires (e.g., Head of Supply (US)) and job listings for US-based roles (e.g., Account Manager, Network Partnerships Manager). - **Product Depth**: Moving beyond a simple self-pay marketplace into a full enterprise platform for payers and large healthcare systems. The focus is on building the "platform that modern diagnostic imaging has been waiting for." - **Payer Integration**: Deepening relationships with insurance companies and payers to integrate the platform into the "standard" cost and care pathway, not just the self-pay channel. ## Why Work Here - **Mission-Driven**: The company explicitly ties its work to saving lives and improving health outcomes, which is a strong motivator for mission-aligned talent. - **Flexibility-First Culture**: The company describes itself as "flexibility-first". The careers page states: "What you do matters - not when or where you do it." They allow hybrid and remote work across the UK and US, with **no clock-watching**. The team includes "office lovers, home workers, early birds, night owls, parents, carers...". - **Comprehensive Benefits**: - 28 days annual leave + "wellness duvet days". - Medical and dental cover + discounted scans. - Free, confidential therapy via a mental health platform. - **£50/$50 monthly wellness budget**. - **Generous, gender-neutral parental and family leave** (including miscarriage leave). - Co-created career roadmaps, regular peer reviews, and a learning & development budget. - **People-First Culture**: The careers page emphasizes seeing candidates as a "whole self," values diversity, and invites candidates to "interview us." Their motto "Your best self is your whole self" is central to their hiring. - **Growth Trajectory**: The company is growing at 24% YoY headcount and is in a scaling phase, offering significant career progression opportunities for early and mid-career professionals. ## Sources 1.
