## The Role

As Office Assistant, you'll be at the heart of algo1's day-to-day life. You'll be the first face visitors see when they walk through the door and a key part of what keeps the office running smoothly, from making sure meetings go well to keeping the space warm, tidy, and full of energy. This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys people and takes pride in getting the small things right. There's scope to grow into a more hands-on assistant role over time as the team scales.

## What You'll Own

- Welcoming visitors. Welcome guests, clients, and important visitors into the office and make them feel at home.
- Supporting meetings. Offer drinks and assistance to visitors, and help meetings run smoothly.
- A well-run office. Keep the office and reception areas tidy, organised, and presentable throughout the day.
- Weekly ordering. Manage weekly office orders, including supplies and food shopping.
- CEO support. Run errands and provide ad-hoc support for the CEO when needed.
- General office support. Help with day-to-day office operations and other tasks as they come up.
- Office atmosphere. Play a key role in creating a positive, energetic, and happy office environment.

## About You

- Organised and reliable. You keep on top of the details and are happy to roll your sleeves up and help wherever needed.

## Nice to Have (or We Can Teach)

- Software fluency. Comfort with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and quick to pick up new tools like Slack, calendar systems, and expense or booking software.
- Coordination experience. Some exposure to event or office coordination, such as team socials, offsites, or meeting logistics.
- Interest in the space. A general curiosity about AI, retail tech, or startups more broadly.

We draw our energy from being together, so this is an office-based role, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm. It suits someone who enjoys the quick conversations and shared momentum that comes from building together. Our office is in Central London WC1, on what we think is the best garden square in London, just a couple of minutes from Tottenham Court Road, so it's easy to get to and a great place to be.
