You will have an opportunity to support the team with promoting an engaging, safe and efficient workplace environment. You will help manage and monitor day to day building services and operations. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from other departments across the business by supporting event planning and onboarding of new joiners. This is a great role for learning about the different teams and functions of a corporate office and discovering where your interests lie. This role is ideal for someone still discovering the field of work they want to pursue. What you will do / be involved in Office management hands-on responsibilities: - Supporting the office management team in all day-to-day issues to ensure the employees and visitors feel welcome and safe - Ordering office supplies and responsible for stock inventory - Preparing regional and international shipments with relevant courier service providers - Checking invoices for accuracy and accounting - Involved in the update of the internal office management  manual - Help maintain office cleanliness and organization, including stock management & replenishment. Employee experience improvements: - Prepare, analyze, interpret, and report on office data such as attendance, attendance patterns, etc  and recommend future data-driven decisions based on behavioural data and also the intended HR policies - Support the Learning and Development department including onboarding of employees to Catawiki - Review the existing ‘employee goodies’ stock and propose improvements, simplification of items, find the right providers for branded employee swag Community Events - Manage Catawiki events and liaise with a diverse range of suppliers to optimise the experience - Think outside of the ‘facilities’ box on how to engage with the remote employees (>50% of our workforce) Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and improvements of the workplace environment ## What you’ll bring - Available to start immediately - You are enrolled at an educational institution in the Netherlands for the entire duration of the internship, pursuing a degree in human resources, office management, hospitality, tourism or another related field - Motivated to gain experience and understanding about the basic functions of office management in a business environment - Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 kg (33 lbs) frequently. - Ability to be physically active for extended periods. - Excellent social communication and interpersonal skills - Familiarity with Google software such as Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc. - Willingness to help and support others and a growth mindset - Hands on mentality, not reluctant to do simple tasks - Fluent in English, Dutch proficiency is a plus - In this position you will be required to be physically on site in the office for 4 days a week (note that the days might vary, depending on the team schedule, etc but always between Monday-Friday) Where you'll be This role will be based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in a super cool beautiful office on Rokin. ## Why You'll Love Working with Us - Create a visible impact by working at scale in a global organisation serving millions of customers across 80+ categories.
