By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ## About the Role Factory Systems keeps Anduril’s production lines running by making sure the right hardware and software get purchased, received, tracked, licensed, and sustained. Our factory footprint is scaling rapidly, and the fleet of devices we support is growing quickly. The procurement, logistics, and licensing processes that can absorb that growth do not yet exist. This is more of a business operations role than a functional logistics or IT seat. You will walk into an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, decompose how hardware and software actually flow from need to production floor, and design the operating system including the workflows, tooling, and standards that makes it reliable and repeatable at scale. You will build it while you run it, then systematize it so a dedicated administrator can operate it steady-state as you scale the model further. ## What You’ll Own - Procurement engine (hardware & software). Design and run the process that turns a defined hardware or software need into a compliant purchase and an on-time delivery. This includes purchasing and approval workflows, cost allocation across business lines, vendor management, and reconciliation. Take defined needs from our engineering and site teams and drive them end to end. - Logistics & the dock-to-line pipeline. Own the physical flow from receiving dock to production floor: receiving, staging, verifying that what arrived matches what was ordered, deployment coordination, and the reverse logistics (swaps, refreshes, RMAs, and vendor returns) that a growing fleet generates. Make physical status match system status in your warehouse and ticketing tools. - Software licensing & compliance. Stand up the master software inventory (categorized by cost type and license type), drive the shift from individual to enterprise licensing on shared devices, keep procurement compliant with internal security review, and own the licensing procurement and accounting model. - Standards & scale (cross-cutting). Turn what you build into documented, repeatable SOPs and dashboards that run on process and not heroics. The systems should be designed from day one to scale with a rapidly growing fleet and to be turnkey operated. ## What You’ll Do - Own execution end to end. Take a defined hardware or software need and drive it through procurement, receipt, verification, and delivery to the production line with minimal oversight and clear accountability if something isn’t ready. - Make the dock-to-floor pipeline work. Personally handle receiving, staging, and reconciliation today; verify received matches ordered; coordinate deployment timing so parts never block a build. - Own the back half of the lifecycle. Manage refresh, RMA, warranty, and vendor returns; keep e-waste and decommissioning compliant. - Build the software-licensing function. Stand up the inventory, the cost-category model, the enterprise-licensing transition, renewals, and the compliance and accounting process. - Keep systems honest. Ensure physical hardware and license status is accurately mirrored in our systems (e.g., ticketing, warehouse, and asset-management tools). - Design the system, not just the fix. Identify, propose, and implement the standards, SOPs, and process improvements that reduce risk and scale with rapid growth rather than patching the symptom. - Operate in ambiguity, at pace. Juggle multiple competing priorities across all three arenas without dropping the ball, and roll up your sleeves; no task is too small. ## Who You Are - A builder. You’ve stood up processes or functions from a blank page, not just run ones someone else designed. You’re comfortable going from 1 to 10 as you are from 10 to 100. - Procurement, IT lifecycle, or logistics specialist. You bring real depth in at least one of procurement, asset/IT lifecycle, or logistics, enough to know what “good” looks like and not reinvent wheels. - A generalist operator. You can move across functions and learn new domains fast. You’re either a generalist with direct experience in one of these areas, or a single-function specialist who desires to take on more breadth. - Hands-on. You’ll be a team of one at first. You’re willing to do the unglamorous work while designing the system that eliminates it. - Calm in ambiguity, fast in execution. Anduril moves quickly. You handle competing priorities and incomplete information without losing the thread. ## Requirements ## Experience - Building from zero. Demonstrated track record of building operational processes or standing up a function from scratch. This is the core requirement, more than years spent in any one function. - Operating experience. 5+ years across operations, business operations, procurement, supply chain, IT/OT asset management, or a comparable generalist operating role, ideally in a fast-paced hardware, manufacturing, or defense environment. - One domain of depth. Real depth in at least one of: procurement/purchasing, asset/IT lifecycle management, or logistics. - Systems fluency. Fluency operating across connected systems (e.g., ticketing, warehouse, and ERP tools) and turning spreadsheet chaos into auditable process. - Influence without authority. Strong structured problem-solving and the ability to align Engineering, Operations, IT, Security, and Finance without direct authority. - Hands-on. Willingness to be hands-on; this role builds and does. ## Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related field. - Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced business degree. - Software licensing / enterprise-agreement management and vendor negotiation. - Procurement or compliance experience in a defense or otherwise regulated manufacturing environment. - Forward and reverse logistics, receiving, and inventory management. - Hands-on ERP and asset-management tooling experience. - Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, ITAM, or PMP.
