Job Summary: The Operator III is responsible to safely and efficiently perform duties in Batching, Processing, Separating, and Receiving to ensure service to the fillers in a manner that is consistent with HP Hood LLC standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform all tasks and functions related to operating and cleaning in Batching, Separating, Receiving, and Processing Areas. - Support the continued development of the processing master sanitation program. - Organize daily processing schedule to ensure batched product is available to maintain proper production flow. - Verify proper powders are selected and added to formulas. - Verify powders selected are recorded properly (weight, lot #, and batch #); Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and timely. - Clean and sanitize all process related equipment, which will include but not be limited to raw tanks, blend tanks, and lines. - Daily operation of multiple processors, batching equipment, separator, and receiving areas in a production setting to include the startup, shutdown, and sanitation of all related equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). - Work in a safe manner in compliance with Federal, State and company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOP, and administrative policies. - Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner. - Obtain State Milk Receiver License. - Operate equipment and know all circuits to ensure proper hookups are made. - Keep accurate logs, paperwork and charts. - Submit work orders and maintain equipment. - Consistently meet production efficiencies and targets. - Complete paperwork as per government regulations and HP Hood requirements. - Safely operate all assigned equipment following policies and procedures. - Maintain communication with team members, cross functional partners, and other crews. - Compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures. - Responsible for general plant cleanliness with the expectation of being inspection ready 24/7. - Reports all safety concerns/incidents promptly to a Supervisor, Lead or Manager. - May be required to assist in facilitation of training for new or existing operators in the qualification process. • All other assignments given by Supervision. Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Basic math and computer skills. - Experience working with manufacturing equipment preferred. Skills and Competencies: - Team oriented; Ability to collaborate and operate in a team environment. - Excellent communication skills. - Solid Work Ethic. - Ability to multi-task. - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment with minimal supervision. - Responsible for reporting to work on time when scheduled. - Able to deal with change, delays or unexpected events.
