This role is primarily about writing: producing and maintaining checklists, requirement guides, and process documentation that are accurate, consistently formatted, and easy for anyone on the team to follow. A smaller part of the role (roughly a quarter to a third of your time) involves original research into payor-specific submission processes to keep that documentation current. You'll be successful here if you have a track record of producing polished, standardized work with very few errors; where mistakes do happen, they show up in edge cases rather than in the foundational facts. We need someone who treats documentation as a craft: consistent terminology, consistent structure, and zero ambiguity for the reader. ## Responsibilities Documentation, Annotation, & Checklist Creation - Write and maintain clear, standardized documentation of payor requirements, submission processes, and authorization workflows - Build and refine checklists for prior authorization and benefit verification submissions across payors, ensuring consistent format and terminology - Annotate and tag source materials (payor policies, portal captures, requirement documents) with structured, consistent labels for internal reference and systems use - Edit and standardize documentation drafted by others so all materials follow a consistent style, structure, and level of detail - Keep documentation current as payor policies change, with clear version tracking - Proofread and quality-check all documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity before it goes live Research - Research and validate prior authorization and benefit verification requirements across diverse payors (commercial plans, state Medicaid programs, etc.) - Investigate payor-specific submission processes (required documents, portals, fax numbers, CPT code requirements) when existing documentation is unclear, outdated, or missing - Validate information from multiple sources and assess the credibility of payor guidance before it's documented ## Requirements - Foundational knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM), with specific familiarity with prior authorization processes - Strong technical writing skills; demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured, standardized documentation (writing samples or a portfolio a plus) - A track record of accurate, low-error output, where any errors tend to occur in non-foundational details rather than core facts - Experience creating checklists, SOPs, style guides, or other standardized reference materials - Comfort annotating or tagging structured content for documentation or data systems - Solid research skills and comfort navigating payor portals, websites, and policy documentation - Exceptional attention to detail - Ability to work independently and bring structure to ambiguous or undocumented processes - Strong written communication skills and comfort incorporating feedback ## About Silna Healthcare is obsessed with optimizing a broken system. We're making sure it never breaks. Silna Health attacks the root cause of denied claims: the fragmented, incompatible systems that govern prior authorizations, eligibility verification, and benefit checks, turning workflows that used to take days into decisions made in minutes, before care is ever delivered. We work across behavioral health, physical health, ambulatory care, and post-acute care, where administrative failure doesn't just cost money; it can delay or deny patient access entirely. We're backed by Accel and Bain Capital Ventures, and we're building fast. ## Why Join Silna - Ground-floor opportunity to build foundational operations at a rapidly growing startup - Work directly with the founding team and influence company direction - Competitive compensation package including equity - Chance to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery through operational excellence - Fast-paced, dynamic environment that rewards initiative and results - Opportunity to solve complex problems alongside brilliant colleagues This role is perfect for someone who loves building systems from scratch, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to be instrumental in transforming how healthcare providers interact with insurance. If you're ready to join a mission-driven company that's revolutionizing healthcare administration through operational excellence, we want to talk to you. ## About Silna Health ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Silna Health builds the first Care Readiness Platform, an AI-powered system that automates prior authorizations, benefit checks, and insurance monitoring for specialty healthcare providers. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A) - **Headquarters**: New York, New York, United States - **Founded**: 2023 - **Founders**: Jeffrey Morelli (CEO), Sagar Jajoo (COO), Pavel Asparouhov (CTO) ## Core Business - Primary industry/industries: Healthcare Technology (Revenue Cycle Management, Prior Authorization Automation) - Target customers: B2B, specifically specialty healthcare providers including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) centers, occupational therapy clinics, cardiac rehabilitation facilities, and hospice care providers. - Mission or purpose statement: To make care the primary focus by handling all the administrative paperwork (prior authorizations, benefit checks, insurance monitoring) upfront, so providers can spend their time on caregiving instead of administrative overhead. ## Products & Services - **Care Readiness Platform**: An AI-powered SaaS platform that consolidates three core functions into one system: - **Prior Authorization**: Automates the entire prior authorization process, from tracking upcoming authorizations and sending weekly reminders to submissions and follow-ups. Cuts approval times from weeks to just four hours with a 99.8% success rate. - **Benefit Checks**: Checks specialty-specific benefits, including coverage, accumulations, authorization requirements, and visit limits to ensure fast patient intake and 100% accurate quotes. - **Insurance Monitoring**: On a regular basis, checks that each patient plan is still active, flags any lost coverage, and detects any new insurance plans. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total Funding of $27 million (Seed + Series A). Platform has helped more than 50,000 patients get faster access to care. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Accel, Bain Capital Ventures (co-leads on both Seed and Series A). Works with 1,000+ payors across 50 states, supporting 150k+ patients. Headcount is growing rapidly with 8 active job postings and a monthly employee growth rate of +10.4%. ## Competitive Advantages - **First-Mover in a Niche**: The company claims to be the "first ever Care Readiness Platform," pioneering front-end revenue cycle management (RCM) in healthcare. - **AI-Powered Automation**: Operates in eight different insurance portals, using AI to automate tasks that traditionally require 4-5 staff members per medical practice. - **Proven Outcomes**: Maintains a 99.8% success rate on prior authorizations, far exceeding industry standards, and cuts insurance approval times from weeks to just four hours. - **Strong Backing**: Backed by top-tier venture capital firms Accel and Bain Capital Ventures, along with prominent angel investors from successful tech companies. ## Strategic Focus - **Expansion & Scale**: Using the $22 million Series A funding to expand the platform's reach and tackle the broader prior authorization crisis in America. - **Product Development**: Continuing to build and refine the AI-powered platform to further reduce administrative burden on healthcare providers. - **Talent Acquisition**: Actively hiring across multiple functions (Enterprise Sales, Marketing, Product Design, AI Deployment, Partnerships, Recruiting, Operations) to support growth. ## Why Work Here - **Mission-Driven**: The company is tackling a massive, broken system in healthcare (the prior authorization crisis), offering employees the chance to have a direct impact on patient access to critical care. - **High-Growth Environment**: A young company (founded 2023) with strong financial backing ($27M raised), rapid headcount growth (+10.4% monthly), and clear product-market fit, offering significant career growth opportunities. - **Strong Engineering Culture**: The workforce is 30% technical, and the company is building an AI-first product from the ground up. - **Location**: Based in New York, New York, with a hybrid/office policy likely given the "New York" HQ designation. The team is currently 75% US-based. - **Impactful Work**: Employees can see the direct results of their work—reducing time for insurance verification from 30 minutes to 30 seconds and helping patients get life-changing treatments faster. ## Sources 1.
