Position Overview Within the Pricing and Corporate Actions team, the analysts focused on corporate actions oversee the entire lifecycle of all corporate actions for GMO’s funds and separately managed accounts.  From announcement to accounting entries, the team coordinates with internal and external parties to ensure accurate reflection and timely processing of both mandatory and voluntary corporate actions.  The Pricing and Corporate Actions Analyst supports all functions related to corporate actions, while also partnering with analysts within the team focused on pricing.  The analysts focused on pricing are responsible for providing timely and accurate valuations across all securities held within GMO.  Analysts within the Pricing and Corporate Actions team are uniquely positioned to gain exposure across multiple asset classes ranging from equities and futures, fixed income, listed and unlisted derivatives and complex OTC instruments. Responsibilities Corporate Actions: - Manage all corporate actions activity for all accounts/funds. - Notify Portfolio Managers/Trading groups of all corporate action activity pertinent to the investment process. - Respond to custodians on behalf of all funds for voluntary corporate actions. - Review and initiate any ideas necessary to improve processes within the group. - Ensure securities involved in, or resulting from, corporate actions activity are valued correctly. - Provide observations and recommendations to respective Portfolio Managers and Trading groups where applicable. Responsibilities for Pricing: - Strong analytical skills – the team is not expected to be data aggregators but rather analysts capable of understanding complex instruments and explaining and/or resolving exceptions. - Uniquely positioned to gain exposure across multiple asset types ranging from equities and futures, fixed income, listed and unlisted derivatives and complex OTC instruments. - Because the group analyzes multiple asset classes, the analysts interact with a range of teams throughout the firm including the investment teams, fund treasury and tax, as well as legal and compliance, which positions the analyst to gain significant industry and firm specific knowledge and interaction. Requirements: - Relevant college degree or commensurate industry experience required. - 2-4 years of direct Corporate Actions experience. - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. - Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a team. - Strong work ethic and attention to detail – the day-to-day responsibilities will require focus and dedication to problems; ownership is the key and issues must be resolved in a timely manner. - Must be able to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks and daily deadlines. - Strong analytical skills. GMO is committed to the recruitment, employment, and promotion of all candidates equally, regardless of an individual's gender, race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, religion, pregnancy, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, military or veteran status, genetic information, physical or mental disability (except where such disability is a bona fide occupational disqualification) or any other classification protected under federal, state or local law. GMO will not offer visa sponsorship for this opportunity. ## About GMO ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: GMO is a privately owned global investment manager that provides long-term, valuation-based investment solutions to institutions, financial intermediaries, and families. - **Entity Type**: Private (independent, employee-owned structure not explicitly stated but free from external ownership) - **Headquarters**: Boston, Massachusetts, USA (with offices in Amsterdam, London, Singapore, Sydney, and a representative office in Tokyo) - **Founded**: 1977 - **Founders**: Jeremy Grantham, Richard Mayo, and Eyk van Otterloo ## Core Business - Primary industry: Investment Management / Asset Management - Target customers: Sophisticated institutions (pension funds, endowments, foundations), financial intermediaries, and high-net-worth families (B2B and institutional focus) - Mission or purpose statement: "GMO’s sole focus is investing on behalf of our clients."
