Position Overview SPS is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement activities across assigned indirect categories. This position will partner closely with Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Legal, and other stakeholders to deliver cost savings, operational efficiency, supplier performance, and compliance. This is a high-level individual contributor role requiring a hands-on professional who is comfortable managing the full procurement lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiations through contract execution, supplier performance, reporting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has experience working in a corporate, B2B professional services, outsourcing, or enterprise environment, preferably within an evolving or growing organization where they have helped build, expand, or improve procurement capabilities. ## Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Procurement - Lead end-to-end RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes across assigned categories. - Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and commercial value. - Analyze spend, market conditions, specifications, and supplier proposals to identify opportunities for cost and process optimization. - Support and implement regional or global procurement strategies as applicable. - Take a hands-on approach to procurement execution and remain directly involved in sourcing activities. Category Management - Own assigned indirect procurement categories, including: - Facilities - IT - Professional Services - BPO/Outsourcing - HR Services - Office Operations - Business Support Services - Develop and maintain category plans aligned with business and procurement objectives. - Monitor supplier markets and identify new sourcing opportunities, competitive alternatives, and areas for cost improvement. - Help develop and expand procurement processes, tools, and capabilities within a growing organization. Supplier & Contract Management - Manage strategic supplier relationships and monitor performance against KPIs and SLAs. - Lead contract negotiations, renewals, pricing discussions, and commercial terms. - Evaluate supplier capabilities, risks, pricing, service levels, and contractual obligations. - Develop corrective-action plans and resolve supplier performance issues. - Ensure contracts and supplier activities comply with company policies and business requirements. Stakeholder & Client Partnership - Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, HR, Legal, and business leaders to understand requirements and deliver effective procurement solutions. - Challenge specifications, demand, pricing, and commercial assumptions when appropriate. - Serve as a trusted procurement advisor to internal stakeholders and operational teams. - Provide prompt, professional, and solutions-oriented service to SPS clients, vendors, and employees. Procurement Process & Governance - Ensure procurement activities follow established policies, procedures, controls, and best practices. - Strengthen procurement governance, standardization, and visibility. - Improve procurement workflows, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and scalability. - Maintain accurate procurement documentation, contracts, supplier information, and sourcing records. - Prepare and contribute to reporting related to savings, spend, pipeline, supplier performance, contracts, and procurement activity. Required Qualifications - 5–7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, vendor management, or a related field. - Experience managing indirect procurement categories within a corporate, B2B professional services, outsourcing, or enterprise environment preferred. - Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, supplier negotiations, and contract management. - Proven ability to deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, or other commercial value. - Strong understanding of procurement methodologies, sourcing strategies, category management, and contract structures. - Experience managing supplier performance, including KPIs and SLAs. - Experience working in an evolving or growing organization, ideally contributing to the development, expansion, or improvement of a procurement function. - Strong negotiation skills with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach. - Ability to independently manage multiple sourcing initiatives, projects, priorities, and deadlines. - Strong analytical and financial skills, including the ability to interpret spend, pricing, supplier, and procurement data. - Experience working in matrixed, multi-site, or enterprise environments preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Procurement, or a related field required.
