Our team is growing quickly as we develop innovative approaches to measure critical protein biomarkers from liquid samples that can enable the earliest possible detection of disease. We believe the next frontier in biology is enabled by measuring proteins at higher sensitivity in highly multiplexed assays at the push of a button, which is something only Alamar can do. As we build our team, we seek collaborative, driven, intellectually curious people committed to solving complex challenges. Our culture rewards accountability and cross functional teamwork because we believe this enables the kind of breakthrough thinking that will accelerate our mission. We are seeking a scientifically driven Product Application Scientist to accelerate the development, positioning, and customer adoption of Alamar's growing NULISA™ Custom Assay portfolio across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Working at the intersection of Product Management, R&D, Commercial, and Field Support, you will serve as the regional scientific expert for customers, strategic partners, and distributors. This role combines hands-on application support with scientific consultation, customer education, and product development input to help drive successful customer outcomes and portfolio growth. ## Key Responsibilities Regional Product Expertise - Serve as the EMEA subject matter expert for NULISA Custom Assays, applications, and workflows. Scientific Customer Engagement - Advise customers and partners on assay design, biomarker strategies, experimental workflows, implementation, data interpretation, and troubleshooting. Commercial Enablement - Support pre- and post-sales activities through scientific presentations, product demonstrations, technical consultations, and customer training. Strategic Partnerships - Develop and maintain relationships with key academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and translational research partners, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and R&D. Content and Training Development - Create application notes, white papers, presentations, videos, and training resources for customers, distributors, and internal teams. Product Development Support - Partner with R&D and Product Management to translate customer needs into product requirements, validation activities, test cases, and future enhancements. Market Insight and Voice of Customer - Gather and communicate customer feedback, scientific trends, workflow insights, and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and portfolio development. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as a key liaison between regional customers, commercial teams, Product Management, R&D, Marketing, and Field Support to drive customer success and product adoption. ## Qualifications - PhD, MSc, or equivalent advanced degree in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related life sciences discipline. - Minimum of 3 years of experience developing immunoassays or supporting immunoassay development in a customer-facing role. - Strong understanding of immunoassay development, validation, and application in translational research or biomarker discovery. - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into practical recommendations. - Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with customers, collaborators, and internal stakeholders. - Experience supporting commercial activities within proteomics, diagnostics, life science tools, or related markets. - Ability to work effectively across countries, cultures, and time zones within a global organization. - Fluent professional English required; additional European language capabilities are highly desirable. - Willingness to travel approximately 40-50% throughout EMEA for customer visits, conferences, training activities, and strategic partner engagements. Please Note - We participate in E-Verify to confirm authorization to work in the United States. ## About Alamar Biosciences ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Alamar Biosciences develops a precision proteomics platform that enables ultra-high sensitivity, multiplex protein analysis from minimal sample volumes to power the earliest detection of disease. - **Entity Type**: Public (IPO on April 17, 2026; Market Cap: $1.37B as of search date) - **Headquarters**: Fremont, California, USA - **Founded**: 2018 - **Founders**: Yuling Luo, PhD (Co-founder, CEO and Chair), Yiyuan Yin, PhD (Co-founder, COO and Director), and Xiao-Jun Ma, PhD (CTO) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Precision proteomics / Biotechnology / Diagnostics - **Target customers**: B2B – Academic researchers, pharmaceutical companies, clinical diagnostic labs, and biomarker discovery groups. - **Mission or purpose**: “Powering precision proteomics to enable the earliest detection of disease.” ## Products & Services - **NULISA Chemistry & Consumables**: A proprietary assay technology (Nucleic Acid Linked Immuno-Sandwich Assay) that combines ultra-high sensitivity with high specificity, capable of analyzing hundreds of protein biomarkers in a single 10 µL biofluid sample. Available in pre-configured panels (e.g., NULISAseq™ Neuro 220 Panel for neurological disease research). - **ARGO System**: An all-in-one automated instrument with onboard qPCR that runs NULISA assays from sample to result, enabling walk-away automation for both single-plex and multiplex biomarker analysis. - **Alamar Software**: A comprehensive data analysis and visualization platform that integrates with the ARGO instrument to turn raw data into actionable insights. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: $1.37 billion market cap (post-IPO, April 2026) - **Key Metric**: Total funding raised prior to IPO: $254 million. Annual revenue not publicly disclosed. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Illumina Ventures, Sands Capital, T. Rowe Price, Braidwell, Alzheimer’s Disease Data Initiative, and others. - **Growth Signals**: - Successfully completed IPO in April 2026. - Launched NULISAseq™ Neuro 220 Panel, the company’s largest precision proteomics panel. - Demonstrated compatibility of home-collected fingerstick samples with ultra-high-sensitivity multiplex proteomics. - Filed 8 patents covering key technologies (e.g., NULISA, immunologic tests, molecular biology). ## Competitive Advantages - **Ultra-sensitivity & specificity**: NULISA technology achieves sensitivity rivaling single-plex assays while enabling high-plex panels, addressing a key trade-off in proteomics. - **Automation-friendly**: The ARGO system delivers a fully integrated, walk-away workflow, reducing hands-on time and variability. - **Low sample volume**: Requires only 10 µL of biofluid, enabling studies with precious or limited samples (e.g., fingerstick blood). - **Proven team**: Founders and senior scientists previously created RNAscope™, a widely adopted in situ hybridization technology, demonstrating a track record of successful innovation. ## Strategic Focus - Expand the NULISA panel menu into new therapeutic areas (neurodegeneration, oncology, inflammation). - Drive adoption of the ARGO platform in both research and clinical diagnostic settings. - Leverage IPO proceeds to scale manufacturing, commercial team, and global sales presence (hiring for roles in EMEA, China, Japan, and the US). - Continue R&D investments in next-generation assay chemistry and software. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Emphasizes integrity, excellence, passion, respect, inclusion, and collaboration.
