You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship experiences that expand access to youth mental health care while raising the engineering bar. ## Job description ## About Marble Last year, 1 in 10 teens attempted suicide. At the heart of this crisis is a severe lack of access to effective care - when kids & families can't get the help they need, problems compound and preventable tragedies follow. We're fixing that by building the AI-native platform that provides affordable & timely access to truly effective care. Our platform brings together guardians, schools, therapists & insurers - who all have incentives to help kids get better but have historically been siloed - to provide & distribute access to care. That's allowing us to scale quickly, giving us a data advantage that we can use to improve the product of therapy, making it more personalized and effective. We're delivering first of it's kind care through things like: - A powerful patient <-> therapist matching engine that finds the right therapist for each unique patient - Marty, our patient companion, who provides 24/7 support, bridging the gap between sessions & reinforcing the strategies and coping mechanisms patients are being taught during sessions - A supercharged therapist coaching platform that combines human + AI coaching to give therapists the tools, resources and knowledge to deliver more effective care & grow themselves We're an early-stage, fast-moving team. The people who join now will shape who we are & who we become, not just what we build but how we build. ## About the Role This is an early generalist role where you'll own truly life-changing products end-to-end. You'll work across an AI-first platform, whether that's building the school-facing product that connects students to care, the therapist product that makes clinicians more effective, Marty (our AI-powered patient companion), the revenue cycle management systems that ensure we can keep growing, or the internal platform & tooling that all of this is built on. You'll get to know and deeply understand our end users, and you'll partner directly with product, operations, growth, and clinical teams to own delivering immediately impactful products. You'll bring strong opinions on not just how to build but what to build, you'll raise the engineering bar and help define what a thoughtful, AI-native engineering culture looks like at an early-stage company. This role is hybrid, with three days per week in our SoHo, New York City office. ## What You'll Do - Build and iterate on Marble's core product surfaces: the school-facing product, therapist platform, patient products, payer systems, and internal platforms & tooling - Own products fully — from discovery and execution through rollout, measurement, and iteration - Raise the bar on AI-native ways of working: better tooling, better workflows, and thoughtfully integrated AI features for users and internal teams - Evolve the platform that underpins our product: the AI foundations, event-driven workflows, observability, pragmatic infrastructure, etc. - Create internal tools and automation that reduce operational load and help the team move faster with fewer mistakes - Collaborate with ops, growth, and clinical partners to understand real-world constraints and translate them into great product - Level up the people around you and help build a strong, thoughtful engineering culture ## Who You Are - 2+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of solving hard problems with code - Prior startup experience or strong desire to work at an early stage company; comfortable in a high-autonomy, high-ownership environment - AI obsessed and constantly looking to leverage the newest AI tool or workflow - Based in New York and able to work from our SoHo office 3+ days per week - Mission-driven and energized by solving a generational crisis Bonus: - Experience with platform infrastructure — event-driven systems, internal tooling, data pipelines, or cloud infrastructure (AWS, CI/CD, Terraform) - Experience with design systems, accessibility, or frontend performance optimization ## Why Marble - Greenfield opportunity to take ownership of & build an AI product from the ground up - Direct impact on a critical & meaningful problem, where you see that impact first-hand on a daily basis - Small & experienced team that moves fast, has fun and has a culture of growth & feedback - Strong equity in an early stage company that's on track to become a unicorn ## Compensation Marble offers competitive compensation for an early engineering team member. Compensation includes a base salary, strong equity, and full benefits. Base salary range: $150K – $200K ## About Marble Health ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Marble Health is building the operating system for youth mental health, connecting schools, therapists, families, and health plans on a single platform to unlock fast, affordable access to care. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A – II; total raised $20.5M) - **Headquarters**: New York, New York, USA - **Founded**: 2024 - **Founders**: Co-founders who previously co-founded Headway (individual names not publicly disclosed) ## Core Business - **Primary industries**: Youth mental health, healthcare technology, education support - **Target customers**: B2B (school districts, health plans) and B2C (students aged 12–18 and their families), with a strong focus on serving Medicaid and commercially insured populations - **Mission statement**: “Make it dramatically easier for young people to get the mental health care they need, and provide the products that make that care truly effective – ultimately enabling a happier and healthier generation of young people.” ([builtin.com](https://builtin.com/company/marble-health)) ## Products & Services - **Virtual Therapy Platform** (Service): Offers individual, group, and family therapy sessions via video with licensed therapists.
