Our platform enables teams to recruit participants, run research, and share insights – all in one place. Backed by world-class investors and trusted by industry-leading teams like Gusto, Experian, Canva, and Brex, we’re building the future of customer research. We believe AI is a multiplier for creativity, speed, and scale. Everyone on the team is encouraged to lean into AI, not just to be more efficient, but to push boundaries and unlock new possibilities. Whether you’re writing, designing, coding, or analyzing, we expect you to explore how AI can elevate your craft. Our culture is built on high trust, high agency, and high emotional intelligence. If you’re looking for a place where your voice matters, where work is fun, and where you're empowered to do your best - join us in redefining user research 🚀 About This Role: You’ll be a Product Manager owning a strategic area of Great Question with a team of 3–4 engineers. We’ll give you a clear outcome to move. Figuring out the bets that get us there, and the near-term roadmap for your area, is your job. You’ll work alongside two other strong PMs and a product designer, and report to our Head of Product. It’s an individual contributor role, remote in North America with Pacific-hours overlap. Here’s the kind of problem you might own. Research is a chain of multi-step workflows – recruiting, scheduling, running sessions, synthesis. We want that chain simple and reliable enough that a builder, or an agent working for them, can run it end to end in a flexible way. That’s harder than it sounds. In your first three months, you’ll take over an area tied to our strategy, ship a few meaningful things with your team, and find out whether they worked. What this role isn’t: managing a backlog or running process. You’ll move between strategy and execution all the time, and you’ll own the results your area is meant to drive. What You’ll Be Responsible For: - Find the bet. Dig through product data and customer signals – support chats, sales asks, your own research – and come back with a strong hypothesis about what will move your outcome. - Shape it. Sometimes that means scoping the problem carefully. Sometimes it means skipping straight to a prototype. Part of the job is knowing which. Then decide what happens now, later or never. - Ship it well. Keep the team organized and motivated, and stay close enough to the details that it ships on time and to a high bar. - Release it. Run the launch and make sure Sales, Success and Marketing know what’s coming and have what they need. - Learn from it. Watch what happens, then decide whether to double down, iterate or stop. About You: - 5+ years as a product manager in B2B software. - You’re as comfortable in product analytics or a database query as you are on a customer call. You form strong opinions and change them when the evidence does. - You stay in the details, and you’ve shipped complex work on time without lowering the bar. - You use AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor every day, and you’ve shipped AI features yourself – MCP servers, agentic workflows – that held up in production. You’ll thrive here if you’re: - Bought in on AI. You’re excited about it. You try new tools constantly, keep up with what’s possible, and can tell where AI helps and where it just adds noise. - Technical enough to be dangerous. You use AI to get hands-on, whether that’s shipping a small fix or prototyping something in code. - Close to customers. You talk to customers regularly and it shows up in your decisions. - Clear and decisive. You communicate clearly, make the call, and commit. - High agency. You see what needs doing and do it without waiting to be asked. You push through the hard parts and finish what you start, without letting quality slip. Bonus points - You’ve worked on B2B workflow products, especially multi-step flows where state and status get complicated. - You’ve worked hands-on with agent runtimes, or measured the quality of AI output. - You’ve been on a remote, async team before. This is a fun problem for product people If you’ve been a PM or designer for a while, you’ve shipped something without enough customer signal and wondered afterward if you got it right. That’s the problem we work on. You’ll get to throw the newest AI capabilities at it, and a lot of what we’re building wasn’t possible a year ago. Nobody has figured out how builders can seamlessly incorporate customer signal into the dozens of decisions they make each week. It is a real chance to innovate. ## How we work We’re a small, senior team. You’ll own an area end to end, and we care more about what changed for customers than about what shipped. Product, design and engineering work closely together, and everyone stays close to customers. We’re remote, so we write things down and lean on async. Why You’ll Love Working Here: - A culture of customer obsession and curiosity - Opportunity to shape and scale a critical business function - Remote-first culture with high trust and high autonomy - Annual team retreats and virtual events - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI integrations that matter - Competitive compensation & equity - Generous PTO, health benefits, and learning stipend ## Equal Opportunity Statement Great Question is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment. We expect every member of the Great Question community to do their part to cultivate and maintain an environment where everyone has the opportunity to feel included, and is afforded the respect and dignity they deserve. Decisions related to hiring, compensating, training, evaluating performance, or terminating are made fairly, and we provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates and employees. We examine our unconscious biases and take responsibility for always striving to create an inclusive environment that makes every employee and candidate feel welcome. ## About Great Question ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Great Question is an AI-powered UX research platform that unifies participant recruitment, study execution, and insight analysis for product teams, replacing an average of 12 separate tools. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A) - **Headquarters**: Oakland, California, United States - **Founded**: 2020 (per CB Insights) or 2021 (per LinkedIn) - **Founders**: Not publicly available ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: UX Research Software, User Research Platform, SaaS - **Target customers**: B2B – product managers, designers, UX researchers, research ops teams, and enterprise product organizations (from early-stage startups to Fortune 5 enterprises) - **Mission or purpose statement**: “Democratize customer research” – make it easy for every team to talk to customers and build better products, just as Figma democratized design ([greatquestion.co/about](https://greatquestion.co/about)) ## Products & Services - **Great Question Platform**: All-in-one UX research platform that combines recruitment, study setup, and AI analysis.
