Robots learn to fold laundry, assist a nurse, or handle a part on a production line by observing how these things are actually done: on the shopfloor, in hospitals, in hotels, and in staged environments like the NEURA Gyms. That data is the raw material of every capable robot we ship, and it can only be captured with the right equipment in the right hands. That equipment is your product. Teleoperation rigs, suits, gloves, grippers, data collection suits — this hardware is the front door to everything NEURA's AI platforms learn. Without it, there is no data. Without data, there is no physical AI. Which makes this portfolio not a supporting act, but one of the load-bearing pillars of the company's success. ## About the role As Product Owner for Data Capture Products, you own this portfolio end to end. You carry full P&L responsibility for every piece of data collection equipment NEURA procures, designs in-house, or sources as white-label from external partners. You decide what we build, what we buy, and what we badge — and you're accountable for both the technical quality and the commercial outcome of those choices. It's a rare mix of hands-on product ownership, hardware judgment, and business responsibility, sitting right at the center of the NEURA Gym team and wired directly into the AI and data teams who depend on what you deliver. ## What you'll do - Own the P&L for the full data Capture hardware portfolio — in-house, externally procured, and white-labeled. - Define the product strategy and roadmap for teleoperation equipment (suits, gloves, grippers, and related rigs) and data collection suits, aligned with what NEURA's AI and data teams actually need. - Make build-vs-buy-vs-white-label decisions, owning the trade-offs between cost, quality, time-to-availability, and data fidelity. - Manage the external supplier and partner ecosystem — sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with vendors and OEM/white-label partners. - Drive projects to delivery, coordinating hardware engineering, firmware/software, procurement, and the AI/ML teams so equipment ships on time and to spec. - Translate data collection needs into product requirements, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the people capturing data in the field and in the Gyms to make sure the hardware produces exactly what's needed. - Own quality, ergonomics, and reliability — this equipment gets worn and used for hours in demanding real-world settings, and it has to hold up. - Track commercial performance — cost structure, margins, and the overall economics of the portfolio. ## Your profile - Strong technical background — robotics, mechatronics, hardware/electromechanical products, or wearables — enough to earn credibility with engineers and evaluate designs critically. - Solid software competence: comfortable reasoning about firmware, embedded systems, sensor data pipelines, APIs, and data formats, and able to work with software and ML engineers on multi-modal data capture and synchronization. - Solid project / program management experience, comfortable driving cross-functional delivery across engineering, procurement, and external partners. - Basic commercial understanding — able to reason about cost, margin, sourcing decisions, and P&L, and eager to grow into full ownership of it. - A product owner's mindset: you set priorities, make decisions under uncertainty, and take accountability for outcomes, not activity. - Genuinely comfortable getting hands-on with hardware and working directly with external suppliers. - Fluent in English; German a plus. ## Nice to have - Experience with teleoperation, haptics, motion capture, or wearable sensing systems. - Exposure to robot learning, imitation learning, or data pipelines for AI/ML. - Prior P&L or portfolio ownership. - Experience managing white-label or OEM supplier relationships. ## About Neura Robotics ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: NEURA Robotics develops cognitive robots that see, hear, feel, and learn, designed to work alongside humans in industrial, service, and household settings. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series C — raised up to $1.4 billion as of 2025/2026) - **Headquarters**: Metzingen, Germany (with offices in Bielefeld and Munich, and US locations in preparation) - **Founded**: 2019 - **Founders**: David Reger ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Cognitive Robotics, Humanoid Robotics, Industrial Automation, AI - **Target customers**: B2B (industrial clients, integrators, strategic partners); also B2C via household robots like MiPA - **Mission or purpose statement**: "We serve humanity by creating robots that give people back their time for what matters most.
