Includes network planning, site assessment, competitive open-book procurement, physical installation, SCADA monitoring, and grid dispatch. - **Conforming Project Playbook**: Templatized utility-grade designs that improve with each deployment, enabling repeatability and cost reduction. - **Subscription Model (historical)**: Early as-a-service financing for energy efficiency and distributed energy, though current focus is on DCP. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: 300+ MW energized assets; 3,200+ projects deployed across 43 states; 1% variance to time and budget over 36 months - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Board members include representatives from Constellation Technology Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, and Avista. Google committed $50 million to Xcel Energy's Capacity*Connect program, deployed in collaboration with Sparkfund. - **Growth Signals**: Partnership with Xcel Energy to install up to 200 MW of distributed battery storage by 2028; expanding national network of pre-vetted host sites; ongoing DCP programs across multiple utilities. ## Competitive Advantages - **Utility-centric model**: Works inside utilities across distribution operations, system planning, and regulatory teams – a "connective tissue" most competitors lack. - **Proven repeatability**: Conforming Project Playbook and open-book procurement drive down costs and timelines with each cohort. - **Pre-built site pipeline**: Maintains a growing network of pre-vetted host sites (commercial, industrial, nonprofit, municipal) already mapped to grid needs. - **Accredited capacity**: Assets are designed to accredit at the highest market rates (ELCC, peak duration) and are utility-dispatched, counted on the resource plan. ## Strategic Focus - Scale the DCP model to deploy hundreds of megawatts across the U.S. over 18–36 months at or below the price of marginal capacity. - Expand utility partnerships and regulatory engagement to accelerate distributed capacity as core grid infrastructure. - Continue to refine the Conforming Project Playbook to capture falling battery prices and reduce soft costs. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Emphasizes ownership, resilience, curiosity, and problem-solving. Core values include Attentive, Problem Solvers, Critical Thinkers, Creative, and Curious. Described as "not afraid to tackle a big topic and transform a well-established industry." - **Work Environment**: Remote-friendly (current open role for Senior Manager, IT and Cybersecurity is listed as Remote). Small team with high impact. - **Impact**: Directly involved in building the grid of the future – measurable results (1% variance, 300+ MW) and partnerships with major utilities and Google. - **Growth**: Opportunity to work cross-functionally, tackle complex challenges, and drive innovation in a critical industry. ## Sources 1.
