Project Manager – Senior Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Job Title: Project Manager - Senior (PM) Duty Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Clearance Level (Must Have): Active DoD Secret clearance Required Certifications (Must Have): PMI certification

Job Description: The Project Manager - Senior (PM) is responsible for all aspects of development and implementation of assigned projects, from original concept through final implementation, and serves as their single point of contact. Responsibilities encompass IT Project Management Support and Business Process Management (BPM) Support. The PM defines project scope and objectives; develops detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports; integrates vendor tasks; and provides technical and analytical guidance. The PM ensures quality and delivery within specified cost, schedule, and performance parameters. The PM must demonstrate the following:

- The ability to interact at all levels in the chain of command.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

For this combined assignment, the PM serves as the designated BPM-certified resource. The PM applies Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Services and Development best practices with Lean, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and Six Sigma methodologies to improve G-6 business processes. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Specific Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute IT application/solution projects using industry best practices with the IT life cycle management process methodology. Define scope, objectives, detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and resource plans.
- Track and analyze project progress, costs, schedules, performance, issues, and risks. Provide technical and analytical guidance and direct problem analysis and resolution. Prepare and deliver IT Project Plans and IT Risk Management Plans.
- Coordinate end users, computer services, client services, and vendors. Conduct project meetings; integrate vendor tasks; review vendor and project deliverables; and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Report weekly IT project and BPM activity actions, findings, and recommendations in the required documentation.
- Perform BPM to continuously improve effective and efficient G-6 business processes. Apply CMMI Services and Development best practices and integrate Lean, ITIL, and Six Sigma components to streamline, document, and integrate processes.
- Prepare and deliver new or updated standard operating procedures (SOPs), organizational standard process documentation, and process guidance supporting goals, improvement initiatives, actions, and measurements.
- Develop training content and conduct training in-person, virtually, or through online modules to implement standard, repeatable processes. Deliver Training Materials on schedule in the Government-provided format; ensure content is clear, easy to follow, grammatically correct, and free of misspellings. (
- Perform quarterly quality assurance audits in accordance with service-auditing processes. Deliver Audit Findings addressing strengths, weaknesses, and non-compliance in organizational standard process implementation, services defined process implementation, and organizational process architecture. Technology:
- Use Government-identified tools and required formats for project plans, schedules, resource information, status reports, risk management documentation, and deliverable submissions.
- Maintain proficiency in the tools used for SOP and process documentation, audit findings, and in-person, virtual, or online training materials and delivery.

Required Experience:

- Experience leading IT projects from concept through implementation, including scope, schedule, resource, risk, quality, and vendor coordination responsibilities.
- Experience improving and documenting business processes using CMMI Services and Development best practices with Lean, ITIL, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience preparing SOPs and process guidance, developing and delivering process training, conducting quality assurance audits, and presenting findings and recommendations.

Required Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- PMI certification is required under either pathway. Maintain the required certifications throughout the assignment, including CMMI Associate and ITIL Foundation for this designated BPM resource.
