We’re building an autonomous, zero-emissions hauler that dramatically lowers the cost of freight with groundbreaking vision-based AI, designed for today’s global logistics network. We’re a fast-moving, close-knit team of AV industry veterans and innovative thinkers. We don’t believe culture can be engineered – but when it falls into place, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Progress has never felt so present. Position Overview You’ll build the electrical nervous system of our autonomous trucks — and own the lab it comes out of. As our senior technician, you’ll fabricate high-voltage EV cables, build low-voltage and data harnesses (CAN, automotive Ethernet, coax/FAKRA), rework PCBs alongside the engineers who designed them, and run the electrical lab and wire-harness bench as your own domain — layout, tooling, stock, and standards. Your workmanship goes straight onto prototype vehicles, and your fingerprints will be on every truck we ship. ## Responsibilities - Fabricate, modify, and repair vehicle wiring harnesses — high-voltage EV cabling (shielded HV cable, HV connectors, HVIL), low-voltage power/signal (12/24/48V), and high-speed data (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, automotive Ethernet, coax/FAKRA, GMSL) with proper shielding, impedance, and routing practices - Perform PCB rework and prototype support: fine-pitch SMD and through-hole soldering, hot air rework, component replacement, and connector rework with ESD-safe handling - Support basic board debug: continuity checks, power rail validation, and bring-up measurements - Build and maintain lab and vehicle test benches — harnessed rigs for sensors/compute/power, relay/fuse boxes, interconnect panels, and instrumentation setups (power supplies, loads, scopes, DMMs) - Route and dress cables in vehicles and benches: loom/overbraid, heat shrink, labeling, and connector serviceability for rapid iteration - Troubleshoot electrical integration issues in vehicles and benches; propose fixes and improvements - Maintain build records (as-built notes)  and organize parts/tools - Fabricate simple brackets, enclosures, and mechanical fixtures as needed ## Minimum Qualifications - 3+ years hands-on experience in automotive, robotics, or aerospace lab environments or prototype shops (or equivalent practical experience) - Strong harnessing skills: crimping, pin extraction, splicing, shielding/grounding, strain relief, and proper automotive routing practices - Experience with common connector families (Deutsch, TE, Amphenol, Molex) and backshells/boots - Solid soldering and rework fundamentals: through-hole, connector, and cable repair with ESD-safe handling - Comfortable reading schematics, board docs, and using a DMM/scope for basic checks - Able to wire safe power distribution (fusing, relays/contactors) with tidy, repeatable setups - High attention to detail, labeling, documentation, and workmanship standards - Eligible to work in the United States ## Preferred Qualifications - High-voltage vehicle or EV experience (contactors, precharge, HVIL concepts, HV connectors, safe routing practices) - Experience with automotive networks (CAN/LIN, automotive Ethernet) and coax-based sensor wiring - Familiarity with harness documentation tools (basic CAD, wiring diagrams, pinout tables) and maintaining ECO-style updates - Light fabrication skills (drill press, 3D printing, simple sheet metal) for fixtures and enclosures - Fine-pitch SMD and hot-air rework on dense boards - IPC-A-610 / IPC/WHMA-A-620 or HV safety certification (or the experience to earn one quickly) - Experience supporting rapid prototype vehicles and field deployments - Comfortable working around vehicles, lifting typical lab equipment, and following ESD and electrical safety procedures including HV safety practices ## Compensation Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including qualifications, skills, experience, and location. We also offer competitive equity compensation and benefits. As part of the interview process, we may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to compare your qualifications and experience to the job description. A human reviews all AI output and makes a final hiring decision. Humble Robotics does not rely on the output to make any employment decisions. Some applicants may have a legal right to opt-out of the use of AI as part of our interview process. Contact legal@humblerobotics.ai to exercise this right or if you have further questions on the use of AI tools in our hiring process. Humble Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status or any other characteristics protected by law. Humble Robotics will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in a manner consistent with local ordinances. ## About Humble Robotics ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Humble Robotics develops fully autonomous, electric Class 8 haulers to decarbonize and lower the cost of commercial freight transportation. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed stage) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, United States - **Founded**: 2026 - **Founders**: Eyal Cohen ## Core Business - Primary industry/industries: Autonomous vehicles, Robotics, Logistics, Freight transportation - Target customers: Enterprise logistics providers, freight carriers, and global supply chain networks (B2B) - Mission or purpose statement: "Decarbonizing freight transportation, the backbone of global supply chains but also a major contributor to greenhouse gases." ## Products & Services - **[Humble Hauler]**: A fully autonomous, electric Class 8 hauler designed for dock-to-dock freight movement.
