Your Role at [impact.com](http://impact.com): The QA Chapter Lead is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products for the group. This role bridges technical QA execution and leadership, guiding QA engineers while collaborating closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle What You'll Do: As a QA Chapter Lead for the Data Group, you will lead a critical function focused on both the technical infrastructure and the human element of Quality Assurance. What You Bring: - 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) roles, with a strong background in test automation and platform development. - Leadership experience, ideally leading, mentoring, and growing QA teams for more than a year. - Deep expertise in various testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, TestRail, CI/CD integration, API testing). - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across different teams. - A proactive and innovative mindset, always seeking ways to improve quality, efficiency, and developer experience. - Agentic AI expertise - hands-on experience putting AI at the front of engineering workflows, including MCPs, agents and agent skills, and building or using testing harnesses driven by them. - Data-quality experience - hands-on experience testing or monitoring data pipelines, ETL, or warehouse/reporting platforms — cross-system reconciliation, rule/assertion-driven production checks, schema/contract testing for replicated data, and integration testing against real data stores (e.g. BigTable, MySQL, SingleStore, Kafka) — with the judgment to help teams decide when to build on existing tooling, adapt it, or adopt something new. - SQL testing experience - experience testing SQL-centric products or query layers — validating parsing and parameter binding of user-authored SQL, injection safety, explain-plan/performance behaviour, and persistence round-trips — with working knowledge of SQL strong enough to independently verify data correctness at the source.
