Position: QA Engineer Platform Games Experience: 2-4 years Location: Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura, Delhi Employment Type: Contract role Work Timings: 9AM - 6PM IST ## Overview We're reimagining Atari's classic arcade catalog as short-session games for Reddit, MSN and emerging channels. We need a QA Engineer who can catch problems before players do, keep releases moving on tight timelines, and make sure every title meets platform certification standards before it goes live. ## What You'll Do - Test each title through the full pipeline: functional, regression, compatibility and performance testing before every release - Look past surface bugs to judge the whole experience: gameplay feel, pacing, difficulty balance, onboarding and UX, not just whether the UI technically works - Write and maintain test plans and test cases for internal and outsourced titles - File clear, reproducible bug reports and track them through to a verified fix - Check builds against platform certification requirements (Reddit, MSN) before submission - Work closely with producers and developers to triage issues and keep releases on schedule - Test across multiple devices, browsers and aspect ratios, since these games need to hold up on any screen - Watch for performance issues like slow load times, dropped frames and memory spikes, and document them with clear repro steps - Run regression passes after patches and live-ops updates - Track quality metrics such as crash rate, open bug count and time-to-fix, and report weekly - Use AI tools to speed through repetitive work, like drafting test cases or doing a first pass on logs, so you can move on to the next title sooner ## Qualifications Required - 3+ years in QA/testing for games (mobile, casual or browser titles) - Experience testing Unity and/or HTML5 games across browsers, devices and aspect ratios - An eye for UX as well as UI: you notice when something feels off even when nothing is technically broken - Good bug-reporting discipline: clear repro steps, sensible severity calls, thorough verification after fixes - Comfortable running QA on several titles at once within tight release windows - Some familiarity with platform certification or submission requirements (Reddit, MSN or similar) - Used to working with AI tools day to day, for things like generating test cases, scanning logs or drafting reports, to get through routine work faster. - Exposure to live-ops testing: post-launch patches, events, seasonal content - Basic scripting or test automation experience ## Preferred - Passion for retro/arcade gaming and the Atari catalog - Experience with bug tracking or test management tools such as Jira or TestRail Why Join Us? - Build in gaming, not just hire for it: real ownership and direct access to leadership - Hybrid, flexible, trust-driven environment - Zero-cost comprehensive medical cover - Ambitious, collaborative, genuinely fun team ## EEO Statement Atari is an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.  We are committed to equal employment regardless of race, religion or lack thereof, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, medical condition, veteran status, ancestry, disability status, pregnancy, parental status, genetic information, political affiliation, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate. ## About Atari, Inc. ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Atari is an interactive entertainment production company that manages an intellectual property portfolio of more than 400 classic games and franchises, while operating game development studios, publishing, consumer hardware, and licensing. - **Entity Type**: Public (Euronext Growth Paris: ALATA, OTC Pink: PONGF) - **Headquarters**: New York, New York, United States - **Founded**: 1972 - **Founders**: Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Video games / interactive entertainment - **Target customers**: Retro and modern gamers (B2C); licensing partners and IP collaborators (B2B); hardware consumers - **Mission**: To honor the legacy of the Atari brand and build an engaged community of passionate fans around retro-focused content. ## Products & Services - **Atari VCS**: Modern hybrid console for playing classic and indie titles - **Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration**: Interactive museum/compilation game - **Digital Eclipse**: Game development studio specializing in retro collections and archival releases (subsidiary) - **Nightdive Studios**: Studio known for remastering and publishing classic games (subsidiary) - **MobyGames**: Renowned video game database and community resource (subsidiary) - **Coatsink**: Game development studio (subsidiary) - **Licensing**: Iconic IP including Pong®, Asteroids®, Centipede®, Missile Command®, and hundreds more ## Market Standing - **Valuation / Market Cap**: Not publicly available in this search.
