Today, nearly 100% of warehouses track their inventory manually using barcode scanners and climbing forklifts. We're Corvus Robotics. Our fully autonomous Corvus One® drones use computer vision & robotics to automatically track inventory, improving worker safety and increasing labor efficiency. We believe that data-driven, safe inventory management will optimize the global physical economy and improve economic prosperity for humanity. ## What we're seeking We are looking for a hands-on QA Manager to own the quality, configuration, and shipout of every hardware unit we manufacture. This role sits at the center of production — testing devices, debugging issues on the floor, building and maintaining test scripts and test hardware, and making sure every unit that leaves the facility meets the high bar we set for our products. You will work closely with technicians, the engineering team, and operations to keep production moving without ever compromising on quality. Specifically, in this role you will: - Configure manufactured devices for deployment, ensuring settings, firmware, and calibration are correct for each unit. - Test manufactured hardware devices to verify they meet functional and quality specifications before shipment. - Debug hardware and firmware issues identified during testing, collaborating with technicians and the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and work through root cause to resolution. - Develop and maintain automated and manual test scripts to improve coverage, repeatability, and speed of the QA process. - Design and build test hardware/fixtures (jigs, harnesses, bench setups) to support efficient, reliable testing. - Manage the shipout process end-to-end, working with manufacturing technicians to prepare, package, document, and dispatch units correctly and on schedule. - Serve as the last line of defense on quality — ensuring every client receives best-in-class hardware. - Test returned devices and create repair plans for the refurbishment of devices. - Track and report on defect trends, test results, and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement. Must have - 2-3 years of experience directly working on hardware — designing, testing, debugging, assembly, or integration. - Hands-on experience with robotics hardware specifically — sensors, actuators, controllers, or full robotic systems. - Familiarity with software engineering tools such as Git, and AI development tools such as Claude Code or Codex. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated reliability in meeting deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced production environment. - Ability to collaborate closely and effectively with technicians, the engineering team, and operations teams to keep production moving. - Prior experience working at a small startup, comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats. ## Nice to have - Experience working in teams competing in technical competitions such as FIRST Robotics, VEX Robotics, RoboCup, Formula Student / Formula SAE / Baja SAE, hackathons, or similar. - Technical degree in Robotics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. - Experience developing test scripts or automated test frameworks for hardware. - Experience designing custom test fixtures or bench-level test hardware. - Hands-on experience with CAD tools for mechanical and electronics design. ## About Corvus Robotics ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Corvus Robotics provides an autonomous inventory intelligence platform for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 warehouses, using drones and AI copilots to automate cycle counting and material handling operations. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series unknown; backed by Y Combinator, S2G Ventures, Catalyst Investors, Spero Ventures, and Tesla’s cofounder) - **Headquarters**: Mountain View, California, United States - **Founded**: 2017 - **Founders**: Jackie Wu (CEO & Founder) and Kabir Mohammed (CTO & Co-Founder) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Industrial robotics / Warehouse automation / Supply chain intelligence - **Target customers**: B2B — large enterprise (Fortune 500, Global 2000) operators of distribution centers, cold chain/freezer warehouses, and complex material handling facilities - **Mission/purpose**: “Autonomous inventory intelligence for the physical economy” — the company exists to impact the physical economy of plants, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, driving global economic growth by improving the supply chain. ## Products & Services - **Corvus One®**: A fully autonomous warehouse inventory drone that flies without a pilot, stickers, or beacons, using onboard cameras for real-time scanning. Designed for cycle counting in ambient, cold chain, and freezer environments. Deployed in under one week on-site. - **Corvus Trident™**: An AI Copilot installed on forklifts and other material handling equipment that tracks all pallet moves in real time, giving operators and managers instant visibility into inventory location changes. - **Unified Operations Platform**: A single dashboard that aggregates data from Corvus One, Trident, and any existing WMS via API, providing one source of inventory truth and discrepancy alerts. Runs on-premise for enterprise data security. ## Market Standing - **Valuation / Funding**: Not publicly disclosed. Institutional backers include Y Combinator, S2G Ventures, Catalyst Investors, Spero Ventures, and Tesla co-founder (implied via the company page). Also backed by executives from Amazon’s Kiva Systems. - **Key Metric**: 300+ devices deployed across North America; 30 enterprise customers served; 26 U.S. states and territories with active deployments. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: S2G Ventures, Catalyst Investors, Spero Ventures, Y Combinator. Investors include leaders from Amazon Kiva Systems and Tesla. - **Growth Signals**: - 9 distribution centers deployed with measurable results (some customers report 6x labor hours saved, recovery of $1.25M in lost inventory, reallocation of 35,000+ hours, and elimination of manual cycle counting across nine sites) - Launch of Corvus Trident AI Copilot (recent product expansion) - Appointment of Michael McSpedon as CRO (former 3x CRO who took companies to $100M+ revenue) - Strong headcount growth: actively hiring for multiple engineering, deployment, and assembly roles ## Competitive Advantages - **Full autonomy**: Corvus One operates with no pilot, no stickers, no beacons — truly “lights out” warehouse autonomous flights. - **Cold chain specialization**: Drones are purpose-built for freezer/cold storage environments where many competitors cannot operate. - **On-prem data security**: Enterprise data stays on-premise, addressing compliance and security concerns of large logistics operators. - **Dual product ecosystem**: Combining aerial drones (Corvus One) with forklift-mounted AI (Trident) covers both storage and movement visibility, creating a unified layer above the WMS. - **Fast deployment**: “1 week on-site deployment” for most sites, supported by dedicated CS & implementation engineers. ## Strategic Focus - **Physical AI expansion**: Extending from inventory counting to full material handling automation across all warehouse form factors. - **Enterprise scaling**: Growing footprint within existing Global 2000 customer accounts and onboarding new Fortune 500 sites. - **Product-line expansion**: Recent launch of Trident indicates a move into real-time pallet tracking and forklift-adjacent AI. - **Geographic coverage**: Scaling deployments across North America (already in 26 states/territories) with a “built, deployed, and supported in the US” value proposition. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Mission-driven team focused on solving “some of the hardest problems” in robotics and AI with a pragmatic, direct communication style. Core values include “Whatever it takes,” “Be a good person,” and “Do work you’re proud of.” - **Work policy**: Hybrid/onsite presence in Mountain View, CA (Bay Area).
