Our thesis is that you have to build a full scale machine to learn what the actual hard parts are, just like you have to build a full scale rocket before the first launch. We’re looking for a few visionary scientists and engineers to join our team, to move fast and blow stuff up. Based in Princeton, NJ our founding physics team has decades of combined research experience at leading academic and industry labs including Princeton, Harvard, Yale, MIT and Google Quantum. Our approach is based on neutral atom qubit technology developed in research labs at Princeton by the founding team. Our scalable systems are composed of manufacturable sub-modules, controlled by state-of-the-art CMOS optoelectronics, and designed around a unique computer architecture. If you’re excited to build something that’s never existed before at the cutting edge of physics and engineering—together with an awesome team with deep technical expertise—come build with us! ## ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a QEC Scientist to be part of Logiqal’s QEC team, and be responsible for continued innovation in our FTQC design and roadmap. In this role, you will be involved at every level of the QEC stack, from the physical layer up through fault-tolerant compilation of algorithms for distributed, modular hardware. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with our hardware team to develop practical QEC protocols that leverage our unique physical qubit and control architecture to advance the frontier of FTQC. You might be a good fit if you have experience with quantum computer architecture, simulations of QEC protocols (including logical operations), logical gates in qLDPC codes, and/or fault-tolerant compilation of quantum algorithms. Interest with or experience in machine learning decoders, or ML driven research, is a plus. __________ Compensation consists of a base salary and equity. The salary range for this role is $180-250k, commensurate with experience. We also provide comprehensive benefits, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees and highly subsidized benefits for spouses and dependents, a 401k and FSA. __________ Logiqal is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. ## About Logiqal ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Logiqal is building the first scaled quantum computer using a modular architecture based on neutral atom qubit technology. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed stage) - **Headquarters**: Princeton, New Jersey, United States - **Founded**: 2024 - **Founders**: Not publicly available ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Quantum Computing, Computers, Parts and Peripherals, Other Hardware - **Target customers**: B2B, Enterprise, Research institutions - **Mission or purpose statement**: To unlock unlimited scale in quantum computing using a modular architecture based on a novel qubit and control technology developed at leading academic labs. ## Products & Services - **Scaled Quantum Computer**: A full-stack quantum computing system based on neutral atom qubit technology, designed to solve complex computational problems that are intractable for classical computers. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total Funding — $24M raised as of July 2025 - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Auxin Capital Management (lead), Princeton University, DCVC, Inspired Capital, Lachy Groom - **Growth Signals**: - Raised a $24M Seed round in July 2025 from prominent investors - Spun out from leading academic labs with novel qubit technology - Published multiple peer-reviewed papers in Nature and other high-impact journals (e.g., "High-Fidelity Gates and Mid-Circuit Erasure Conversion in an Atomic Qubit," "Erasure Conversion for Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing") - Actively hiring for engineering and physics roles (4 open positions as of mid-2026) ## Competitive Advantages - **Novel Qubit Technology**: Uses neutral atom qubits with erasure conversion capabilities, a cutting-edge approach that offers inherent advantages for fault-tolerant quantum computing. - **Modular Architecture**: Designed for unlimited scale, a key differentiator from competitors pursuing monolithic designs. - **Deep Academic Roots**: Technology developed at top academic labs, with a strong publication record in Nature and other leading journals. - **Strong Investor Backing**: $24M Seed round from a syndicate including Auxin Capital, Princeton University, DCVC, Inspired Capital, and Lachy Groom indicates high confidence. ## Strategic Focus - **Current priorities**: Building the first scaled quantum computer by scaling up their modular, neutral atom architecture. - **Direction for growth**: Moving from research and development to a full-stack machine, focusing on learning "what the actual hard parts are" by building complete systems. ## Why Work Here - **Culture highlights**: The company states they are "single-mindedly focused" and want scientists and engineers who "want to move fast and blow things up," suggesting a fast-paced, high-autonomy, research-driven environment. - **Remote/hybrid/office policy**: In-Office — all open roles are based at the Princeton, NJ headquarters. - **Notable perks or engineering culture**: - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge quantum computing hardware from the ground up - Roles span software engineering, hardware control interfaces, data acquisition, atomic physics, and systems architecture - Small team (6 employees as of PitchBook data), offering high impact and ownership - Strong publication culture, with team members contributing to top-tier journals ## Sources 1.
