In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of projects with Japanese companies, academic institutions, and government labs by being the technical lead for a team of researchers. This includes taking the lead in creatively prototyping cutting-edge algorithms, identifying “killer applications”, and developing solutions pipelines that drive quantum computing towards practical utility. You will also collaborate with the sales team to identify and follow through on promising leads and collaborations. You will lead your team in delivering positive outcomes to companies through writing scientific papers, presenting results, and writing codebases that leverage neutral atom hardware. The projects will be as diverse as the Japanese quantum ecosystem, from finance and operations research to chemical simulation and generative machine learning.
