About the Role: As a member of the R&D team, your mission will be to reliably maintain the quality of machine vision read rates and software configurations across our network of sites in Canada and the US. You’ll also be a subject matter expert on our proprietary technologies, software and hardware applications, and you will partner with internal teams to troubleshoot and develop solutions to technical issues. Job Accountabilities: - Design, program and implement imaging systems, hardware, and software applications for various applications. - Research and evaluate new technologies and methods for improving machine vision image quality, performance, and functionality. - Work assigned projects from start to completion. - Collaborate with engineers, software developers, and customers to understand the requirements and specifications of the various imaging solutions. - Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of our imaging systems and software. - Resolve escalated issues as a subject matter expert and support ticket resolution for our customers. - Maintain read rates and configuration performance across our site network. - Document designs, architecture, and system integrations as required. - Present solutions and results to both internal and external key stakeholders. - Explore, evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness on new and existing product ideas. - Apply industry best practices, along with your knowledge and expertise, to execute ideas from concept to delivery, as a member of a collaborative and agile team. Job Requirements: - University Degree or diploma in Computer Science, computer engineering or related degree, diploma, and/or applicable work experience. - Experience with image processing and/or optics. Strong knowledge and experience in lighting and imaging principles, machine vision techniques, and algorithms. - Proficient in programming languages, such as C, C++, C# and python. - Excels at solving problems, are motivated and methodical, and have high attention to detail. - Support what you build and understand that building applications is more than just writing code.
