They build deep relationships with and empathy for the people we work with and the people who our mission serves, even when those two groups feel at odds. ## About the role As a Recruiter at Recidiviz, you’ll be in charge of reviewing, screening, and advancing a high volume of inbound applications across a range of roles (technical and non-technical), in addition to some candidate sourcing through various outbound platforms. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand what success looks like for each role and apply strong judgment to identify candidates who are most likely to thrive. Throughout the process, you’ll ensure candidates experience Recidiviz as a thoughtful, values-driven, and well-run organization, regardless of outcome. Core responsibilities - Own full-cycle recruiting for a diverse set of roles, from kickoff through offer - Drive the top of the hiring funnel by reviewing inbound applicants, proactively sourcing talent, and conducting initial screens to assess fit - Partner with hiring managers to clarify role needs, ideal candidate profiles, and evaluation criteria, and keep searches moving with clarity and momentum - Deliver a high-quality, human-centered candidate experience by communicating clearly, moving efficiently, and treating every candidate with respect and care - Coordinate and support interviews, feedback collection, and hiring decisions to help teams make timely, well-informed choices - Track recruiting progress and outcomes to continuously improve hiring effectiveness - Stay up to date on emerging recruitment trends, particularly how our work evolves in the age of AI - Optimize our recruitment system, processes, and tools Wild success Here are a few things you might accomplish in your first year at Recidiviz that would demonstrate wild success in this role: - You consistently identify and advance high-potential candidates, helping teams fill roles on time with people who perform well, stay engaged, and make a real impact - Hiring managers trust you as a thought partner, relying on your judgment, clarity, and follow-through to keep searches moving smoothly and make confident hiring decisions - Candidates regularly comment on the respect, transparency, and care they experienced throughout the process, reinforcing our reputation as a thoughtful and values-driven place to work ## Minimum qualifications - Ability to stay organized and responsive across multiple searches and priorities - Comfort working in a fast-moving, evolving environment - Comfort quickly ramping up on technical or specialized role requirements - Empathy, professionalism, and the ability to communicate clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders - Experience leading or maintaining structured, equitable hiring practices — e.g., standardized rubrics, calibrated screening criteria, or bias-mitigation practices in candidate evaluation - Experience using applicant tracking systems to track progress and outcomes - 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition/recruiting ## Preferred qualifications - Experience recruiting for technical roles (SWE, Product, Data Analysts, etc.) - Ability to interpret basic recruiting metrics and use them to improve hiring outcomes - Experience utilizing AI tools to support recruiting efforts - Experience working in a mission-driven nonprofit, social impact start-up, or tech-for-good organization ## Compensation Compensation is standardized based on roles and responsibilities. This ensures equitable compensation and responsible stewardship of our resources. As such, we do not negotiate compensation offers.
