Town builds a persistent model of you — your voice, judgment, relationships, priorities — and does real work on your behalf across every tool you use: email, calendar, docs, Slack, CRM. It doesn't wait to be prompted. It observes, learns, and acts. We most recently raised a $55M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Forerunner Ventures and continued support from First Round Capital, Alt Capital, and Conviction — plus angels including Adam D'Angelo, Soleio Cuervo, and Immad Akhund. Our founders, Jean-Denis and Tony, previously led EPD at Plaid and applied AI product at Google. ## About the role Our office is an extension of our product and team. When it's running well, candidates walk into a place that's clearly on top of things, new hires have a desk and a badge on day one, and the team gets to focus on their work. You own that: our office experience and operations, our front door—and the interview loops that bring people through it. You'll own coordination and scheduling for all interviews (often multi-hour onsites with five or six interviewers, rooms, lunch, and a candidate who flew in that morning, of course!) In the same week you'll be solving desk layout for a hiring surge, chasing a vendor, and making sure the fridge isn't empty. The bar is simple: nothing gets dropped, and no candidate ever feels like they're the second thing on your list. ## What you'll do - Be front of house — for candidates, vendors, partners, and event guests. You're the first person anyone meets when they walk in. - Own end-to-end interview scheduling across every open role — screens, panels, and full onsite loops — managing interviewer conflicts, reschedules, and time zones without losing hiring velocity. - Own the building day to day: visitor registrations in the building portal, maintenance requests, and punch-list items across our office suites. - Manage the office vendors — snacks and daily lunch, plants, IT and AV — and be the person who follows up when something isn't working. Most of this work runs through vendors; you manage them and fill the gaps. Own supplies and equipment: ordering, reorder cadence, and scheduling repairs and service. - Manage the space they walk into: our SF office operations and the vendors behind it, from the building to access to food to IT. Most of this work runs through vendors — you oversee them and fill the gaps. - Be the operational point of contact for candidates: confirmations, prep materials, day-of logistics, travel and expense coordination, and a fast, warm reply every time. - Keep Ashby clean and current — stages, interview schedules, feedback SLAs — so pipeline reporting is trustworthy without anyone reconstructing it by hand. - Run onsite day-of: rooms booked and named, interviewers on time, lunch staffed and ordered, candidate greeted and never left sitting alone. - Turn a signed offer into a real first day: desk, equipment, badge, welcome setup, and first-week logistics. Own ongoing office access and our roster. - Support our New York team remotely — The NYC team routes to you directly. - Find and fix the process gaps. If scheduling or the office is breaking at 40 people, redesign it before it breaks at 80. You might thrive here if you - Are a detail-oriented people person who communicates well in person and in writing. - Have experience in office management, recruiting coordination, or EA/admin work at a startup. - Have run complex, multi-interviewer onsite loops and can hold a dozen moving pieces without a single dropped thread. - Are fluent in an ATS (Ashby preferred) and Google Calendar, and have strong data-hygiene instincts. - Write clearly and warmly to candidates, and confidently to vendors and building management. - Are in SF and want to be in the office five days a week — this role only works in person. - Self-directed: you find the work, you follow up, and you close the loop. ## About Town.com, Inc. ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: An applied AI company building a proactive, persistent AI assistant that learns how you work and acts on your behalf across email, calendar, docs, Slack, and CRM. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, USA - **Founded**: 2024 - **Founders**: Jean-Denis Greze (CEO, former CTO of Plaid) and Tony Vincent (CPO, former Director of Applied AI at Google) ## Core Business - **Primary industries**: Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Software, Productivity - **Target customers**: B2B (SMB to mid-market teams looking to automate knowledge work) - **Mission**: "Make it easy for anyone to create and use software in their everyday work." — Town careers page ## Products & Services - **[Town AI]**: A SaaS assistant that builds a persistent model of a user’s voice, judgment, relationships, and priorities. It observes, learns, and acts without waiting for prompts — triaging inbox, managing schedules, running workflows, and generating drafts. Replaces general-purpose chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude for daily work. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not publicly disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total funding of **$73M** (Seed $18M + Series A $55M) — some sources report $78.1M, likely including a smaller prior round or adjusted amount. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Series A led by **Andreessen Horowitz** with participation from **Forerunner Ventures**, **First Round Capital**, **Alt Capital**, and **Conviction**. Seed led by **First Round Capital**. Angel investors include Adam D’Angelo, Soleio Cuervo, and Immad Akhund. - **Growth Signals**: Headcount grew **82.4% year-over-year** (LinkedIn, 2026). Currently **13–31 employees** depending on source. Early customers report replacing Claude, ChatGPT, and “OpenClaw” with Town because it “actually understands them.” The company was founded in 2024 and closed a $55M Series A in May 2026, signaling strong investor confidence. ## Competitive Advantages - **Proactive persistence**: Town builds a model of the user’s preferences and takes action without explicit prompting — a deeper “memory” than chat-only AIs. - **Deep tool integration**: Connects to email, calendar, Slack, CRM, and docs, acting across all of them. - **Founder pedigree**: CEO scaled Plaid from $10M to $300M+ ARR; CPO co-founded a company acquired by Google and another by Dropbox. - **Early traction**: Customers report preferring Town over leading competitors for daily work. ## Strategic Focus - Aggressively building out the product and team in 2026 (5 open roles across engineering, product, design, business operations, and marketing). - Scaling from early adopters to a broader SMB/mid-market audience. - Continuing to iterate on the “persistent AI assistant” paradigm. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: “Action first. Chat second.” Principles include owning outcomes, making decisions with 70% information, and debating hard with ego aside. - **Work environment**: Fully in‑person, five days a week in San Francisco’s Financial District. Early‑stage (one of first ~20 teammates) means high impact and ownership. - **Compensation**: AI Product Engineer $225K–$300K, Staff Backend Engineer $250K–$300K, Business Operations $130K–$170K, Product Marketing $150K–$200K — all with competitive equity. - **Benefits**: Fully covered medical, dental & vision; unlimited PTO; free daily lunch; commuter benefits; parental leave; 401(k). - **Team**: Engineers and operators from Plaid, Apple, Facebook, Stripe, Lyft, Dropbox, CrowdStrike, HubSpot, Quora, and Asana. ## Sources 1.
