We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully. ## JOB OVERVIEW The Regional Operations & Fleet Expansion Manager is responsible for leading field operations, fleet performance, and market expansion initiatives while developing high-performing operational teams. This role provides direct leadership to operations and fleet personnel, oversees day-to-day execution of autonomous robot operations, and manages the successful launch and scaling of new markets. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position serves as the primary operational leader responsible for ensuring fleet reliability, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and service excellence. The role partners closely with Engineering, Product, Fleet Management, Policy, Mapping, Business Development, Hardware, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain to deliver safe, scalable, and efficient autonomous delivery operations. Serve Robotics is unable to provide or assume visa sponsorship for this position. ## JOB DUTIES - Lead daily operations supporting commercial delivery services and autonomous robot deployments. - Oversee fleet performance, uptime, operational throughput, MTTR, SLA attainment, and fleet health. - Prioritise operational activities based on customer impact, fleet health, and business priorities. - Manage field operations, including robots, field teams, remote operators, depots, and operational workflows. - Ensure compliance with operational procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and customer experience. - Hire, onboard, coach, develop, and manage Operations and Fleet team members, including performance, scheduling, and career development. - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence. - Oversee fleet maintenance, repair quality, inventory, tooling, documentation, and facility readiness. - Partner with Engineering to resolve systemic reliability issues and improve robot performance through field insights and operational feedback. - Lead end to end launches for new markets, including operational planning, testing, depot setup, vendor onboarding, and launch readiness. - Optimisze market expansion by balancing operational quality, customer experience, compliance, capacity, and cost. - Partner with Policy and Legal to implement regulatory requirements across operating regions. - Serve as the primary operational liaison across Engineering, Product, Fleet Management, Mapping, Hardware, Business Development, Supply Chain, Finance, and other cross functional teams. - Identify operational risks, remove blockers, and drive cross functional alignment to achieve business objectives. - Minimal travel required. EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, & SKILLS Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills - 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, robotics, autonomous systems, mobility, automotive, aerospace, or related technical operations. - 2+ years of direct people leadership experience managing operational or technical teams. - Demonstrated experience hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing employees. - Experience managing operational KPIs and service-level agreements. - Strong cross-functional project and stakeholder management skills. - Experience working with CMMS, ticketing systems, operational dashboards, or similar tools. - Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments. - Valid driver's licence in the applicable Australian state or territory, and the ability to drive for business purposes. . - Willingness to travel as required to support field operations and market launches.
