We are NOT building a digital brokerage or an AI wrapper - we are going deeper to build the foundational infrastructure required to power tomorrow’s health plans. We believe that software can unlock the ability to build health plans that are affordable, adaptable, and scalable. Yuzu’s platform will be core to this future. So how does this actually work? Over 70% of employer-sponsored health plans are self-funded, meaning the employer acts as the insurer and directly covers employees' healthcare costs. This allows companies to customize benefits, gain flexibility, and save money. Self-funded employers partner with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to handle the behind-the-scenes plan administration, like processing claims and managing benefits. The TPA industry is a $500bn sleeper industry that has historically been seen as a services business, bogged down by manual processes and legacy systems. Yuzu is different. We are a vertically integrated & tech-enabled TPA, currently servicing thousands of companies. We differentiate by helping innovative health plans come to life by facilitating new ways to pay for and access healthcare covered by insurance. Yuzu’s goal is to make it as easy for any business to create and manage a custom health plan as it is to create a storefront on Shopify. The Opportunity As our first Revenue Operations hire, you will build and run the backbone of our go-to-market engine. You will own our CRM/comp-tooling architecture, our reporting and dashboards, our forecasting and planning cadence, and the end-to-end administration of commissions. You'll work hand in hand with Sales, Finance, and company leadership, and because you're standing the function up from the ground floor, you will have real room to grow your scope and depth as it scales. This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to act like an owner. If that excites you, we’d love to hear from you! What You'll Do: - Own Yuzu’s Attio architecture end to end, from structure to data integrity / CRM hygeine. You will maintain CRM standards as the team scales - Build reporting cadences and dashboards that will be our team’s source of truth for forecast accuracy and pipeline health - Surface and synthesize important takeaways from our CRM for company leadership - Own commission administration end to end: translate comp plan documents into calculation logic, ensure monthly/quarterly payout cycles have an audit trail and occur seamlessly, and become the go-to person reps trust to get a fast answer on “why was I paid this” - Manage account allocation across reps and the reflection of this allocation in our CRM The Skillset - 3-8 years in revenue operations, sales compensation/commissions, or business operations, ideally in B2B SaaS, insurance, or another commission-driven sales org - Direct, hands-on experience administering sales commissions - you've owned a payout cycle, built or maintained comp calculation logic, and resolved rep disputes yourself - Strong, hands-on CRM experience (Attio, or similar) - you've architected and fixed it yourself (objects, properties, workflows, reporting, hygiene) - Deep comfort in data - Excel/Sheets is table stakes - High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over accuracy 90 Days at Yuzu The First 30 Days - Ramp on Yuzu's product, GTM motion, comp plans, and current commission process - Audit how commissions are currently calculated, tracked, and paid, and map every manual step - Build context on CRM architecture, data hygiene, and where the biggest risks and gaps sit - Align with Sales and Finance leadership on current plan structures and known pain points The First 60 Days - Take ownership of the commission calculation and payout cycle for a few cycles - Stand up a documented, repeatable process for calculation, review, and dispute resolution - Begin cleaning up CRM data quality and reporting to support accurate, timely commission inputs - Identify the highest-leverage fixes or tooling investments and bring a recommendation to leadership 90 Days & Beyond - Fully own commission administration end to end, with a clean audit trail and predictable, on-time payout cycles - Own the core RevOps reporting and forecasting cadence leadership relies on - Show measurable improvement in dispute volume, resolution time, and payout accuracy - Help shape the roadmap for the RevOps/commission function as it scales Interview Process - Initial Recruiter Interview: 30 min - Hiring Manager interview: 30 minutes - CEO interview: 30 minutes - Take home assignment: ~2 hours - Onsite: 4 hours Location This is a hybrid role - ideally ~3 days a week in our West Village, New York office The Perks 🌴Flexible PTO: Unlimited ⚕️Paid health benefits 100%: Medical, vision, and dental 🏦 401k Provider and match 📚Productivity Stipend: $3000/annually 🏠Home Office Stipend: for remote employees 🎉 Team Outings and Offsites: We just went to a mets game! 🥪 Daily in-office Lunch ## About Yuzu Health ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Yuzu Health is a technology platform that provides the infrastructure behind health insurance plans, offering a unified system for claims processing, payments, member administration, and plan configuration as a third-party administrator (TPA) for employers. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A; total funding $40M) - **Headquarters**: New York, New York, United States - **Founded**: 2022 - **Founders**: Max Kauderer, Ryan Lee, Russell Pekala ## Core Business - **Industry**: Healthcare technology / health insurance plan administration (Insurtech) - **Target Customers**: B2B – Plan Designers who create employer health insurance plans, employers, and other TPAs - **Mission**: “Bringing trust and transparency back to health insurance” by rebuilding the system from the ground up, tackling root causes rather than symptoms. ## Products & Services - **Claims Engine**: Fully in-house code for timely and reliable adjudication of all claim types and remittances, owned entirely by Yuzu. - **Payment Infrastructure**: Custom auto-ledgering system providing real-time transparency into where dollars are spent, with no latency. - **Support Tools**: Custom call routing, workflow alerts, case management software, and proactive tools built into the portal. - **Human-Centered Portals**: Portals and communications for employers, members, and vendors, built from scratch with white-labeling so everything is branded to the plan designer. - **Reporting & Analytics**: Real-time raw data and analytics for drill-down and big-picture views, with no black boxes. - **Integrations**: Streamlined connections for PBM, stop loss, and other high-priority vendors to enable a single source of truth. - **Benefits Builder**: Tool to add tiers, accumulators, and custom benefits when designing a plan. - **Document Handling**: Auto-generation of SPDs and SBCs with eSignature capabilities in the portal. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: $40M total funding raised (Series A of $35M closed April 2026) - **Notable Investors/Partners**: General Catalyst (lead), Chemistry (lead), Anthropic’s Anthology Fund, Bain Future Back Ventures, Timeless Ventures, Lachy Groom, Neo - **Growth Signals**: - Headcount grew 342% year-over-year to 57 employees (as of mid-2026) - LinkedIn followers grew 148% annually - Revenue of ~$500K (early stage, rapidly scaling) - Active hiring across product, engineering, sales, operations, and finance ## Competitive Advantages - **In-house everything**: Unlike many TPAs that rely on third-party software, Yuzu owns every line of code for claims adjudication, payment infrastructure, and portals – giving full control and transparency. - **White-labeling**: Fully branded portals and communications allow plan designers to maintain their own identity. - **Real-time transparency**: Custom auto-ledgering and raw data reporting provide unmatched visibility into plan spending and performance. - **Modern tech stack**: Built from the ground up rather than patching legacy systems, enabling faster iteration and better user experience. ## Strategic Focus - **Current Priorities**: Scaling the platform to launch more groups, deepening integrations with partners (PBM, stop loss), and expanding the sales team to reach health systems, TPAs, and employers directly. - **Direction for Growth**: Becoming the operating system for innovative health plans, simplifying plan administration, and enabling plan designers to focus on creative plan designs rather than infrastructure. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Emphasizes small teams, in-person collaboration, a product mindset (not just a role), and a willingness to question the status quo.
