We're looking for someone to help scale our outbound motion for our fast-growing enterprise segment. You'd be joining a sales team that already has this working. Two SDRs have run the role before you (one has just been promoted, which is why we're hiring), so the playbook and sequences exist and your job is to run them well, then make them better. Sales also works alongside marketing, RevOps and partnerships to help drive demand and put the systems in place to capture it. We have a clear ICP in vertical SaaS, Marketplaces and FinTech. Now we want to scale and reach the companies who don't yet know about us. ## ABOUT INVOPOP Invopop helps global platforms comply with electronic invoicing in over 30 countries through a single, developer-friendly API. 40+ countries (including all EU member states) will shortly require every business to report invoices in real time to tax authorities. That means every company operating internationally will need a solution - so the market is exploding. We were founded by Sam Lown (co-founder/CTO of Cabify) and Juan Moliner (ex-BCG). Backed by Y Combinator, €3M raised to date, Best Startup @ South Summit, Wired’s Hottest Startup in Madrid. We 10x'd our ARR in 2025, largely through a strong inbound enterprise pipeline. Since then we've added two SDRs, both hitting target, and we're on track to triple ARR this year. ## WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING You'll work closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to grow our outbound enterprise motion. This means: - Working our existing playbook to identify and reach ICP prospects - Learning from and iterating on your results: testing different sequences, contact methods, subject lines and content, then sharing what you find with the team - Success in this role is a mix of quality meetings booked and the contribution you make to how we sell, not brute-force activity All sales are conducted in English, but if you speak another language too, that’s a bonus. ## LOCATION AND SALARY 📍 Madrid (hybrid) 💰 €40k base + 10% of base salary performance bonus + 3% of yearly contract value for closed deals sourced by you ## WHAT YOU'LL DO - 🤝 Contact potential customers in our ICP and book qualified meetings for our Sales Team - 🔎 Use tools like LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Lemlist and Hubspot to research and prioritise accounts (you’ll have freedom to decide what tools work best for you and can experiment with different apps) - 📈 Provide input into our evolving sales playbook - 🧠 Feedback to the rest of the team about any common objections you receive so we can improve our GTM approach and product - 🚀 Clear path to AE or SDR Manager role as the team scales ## WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR This role is perfect for someone who takes outbound seriously as a craft. Who wants to get genuinely good at opening conversations with enterprise buyers, and who's willing to keep adjusting to find what works. ## MUST-HAVE: - 1–3 years’ experience as an SDR, ideally prospecting into mid-market or enterprise accounts. You’re now looking for more ownership (and eventually a path to AE or SDR leadership). - Native or bilingual English (Spanish not required) - Comfortable with autonomy (we’ll provide you with plenty of support, but you should decide who to engage and the approach to take) - Strong sense of ownership - you treat your accounts, outreach and results like your own mini-business ## NICE TO HAVE: - Background in a fast-growing, early-stage startup - Previously helped set up or improved successful outbound channels - Able to navigate technical conversations (APIs, integrations, data flows) - Experience with selling into our ICP ## WHY JOIN INVOPOP - 🧑🏼‍🚀 World-class team & product: work directly with the founders in an extremely high-talent environment, building a product that's miles ahead of anything in the market. - 🔥 Hypergrowth stage: we’re growing fast and are closing our first six-figure deals. - 🧨 Massive market: real-time e-invoicing is transforming how companies run finance. Compliance is just the entry point—we’re on a mission to reinvent the $70B ERP market. ## INTERVIEW PROCESS - Step 1: 30-min introductory call - Step 2: Take-home exercise (We’re conscious of your time – the exercise should take no more than ~45 minutes): - Research, prioritisation, and email drafting task - Role-play preparation - Step 3: 50-min interview: Review take-home exercise, role play and deep dive into your experience - Step 4: In-person interview with our founders - Step 5: Offer 🎉 ## About Invopop ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Invopop provides a single API for global e-invoicing and tax compliance, automating the conversion of sales data into locally compliant e-invoice formats for over 25 countries. - **Entity Type**: Private (Startup, Y Combinator W23 batch) - **Headquarters**: Madrid, Spain (with a second office in London, UK) - **Founded**: 2020 (Y Combinator profile lists 2021) - **Founders**: Sam Lown (Co-founder & CTO, previously Co-founder & CTO of Cabify) and Juan Moliner Malaxechevarría (Co-founder, previously a consultant at BCG) ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: E-Invoicing, Sales Tax/VAT Compliance, Fintech, B2B SaaS - **Target customers**: B2B; global software companies, fast-growing companies, and enterprises that need to issue compliant invoices across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., SumUp, Fever, DeepL). - **Mission or purpose statement**: "Help us make invoicing great again" and "Simplify Sales Tax/VAT compliance, globally." ## Products & Services - **Invopop API**: A single API that receives sales transaction data in a simple, open-source format (GOBL) and converts it to locally compliant e-invoices. This includes syncing with tax authorities for real-time reporting (e-invoicing), generating custom-branded PDF invoices, and integrating with the company’s existing stack (ERP, billing, payments, reconciliation). - **GOBL (Global Open Business Language)**: An open-source, global invoice format that Invopop is "proudly built on," designed to standardize invoice data across different countries. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly available (private startup). - **Key Metric**: Total Funding — Not publicly disclosed beyond being a Y Combinator-backed company (Winter 2023 batch). The company website also lists individual angel investors including Maex Ament (Co-founder of RevenueCat), Jeff Epstein (Former CFO of Oracle), Mark Villacampa (Co-founder of Cabify), and others. - **Growth Signals**: - Trusted by global companies like SumUp, Fever, and DeepL. - Live in Colombia, Spain, Portugal, and many more countries coming soon (Mexico, Italy, Peru). - Team size is listed as 7 on Y Combinator (likely at time of batch) and 17 total employees on Built In, indicating recent growth. - The company is positioned to capitalize on a massive regulatory tailwind: over 40 countries (including all EU member states) will require real-time e-invoicing in the next 1-5 years. ## Competitive Advantages - **Single API for global compliance**: Instead of building and maintaining numerous local integrations, companies integrate once with Invopop, saving significant time and engineering resources. - **Open-source foundation (GOBL)**: By building on an open standard, they reduce vendor lock-in and foster a community around their format, making it easier for partners and customers to adopt. - **Founder-Market Fit**: Co-founder Sam Lown experienced the e-invoicing "nightmare" firsthand as CTO of Cabify during its expansion into Latin America, giving the team deep, first-hand knowledge of the problem. - **Y Combinator Backing**: Provides credibility, network, and access to a global community of startups. ## Strategic Focus - **Global Expansion**: Rapidly adding support for new countries (Mexico, Italy, Peru, etc.) to stay ahead of the regulatory curve. - **Product Development**: Building out the platform to handle more complex compliance scenarios and deeper integrations with customer stacks. - **Talent Acquisition**: Actively hiring for key roles (VP of E-invoicing Compliance, Staff Backend Engineer, Founding Solutions Engineer, Founding Marketer) to scale the team and product. ## Why Work Here - **High-Impact Problem**: Work on a critical infrastructure problem that is becoming a global necessity for any company doing cross-border business. - **Strong Founding Team**: Learn from experienced founders who have built and scaled a unicorn (Cabify). - **Culture & Values**: The company emphasizes values like "Seek Honesty" and "Build," fostering a team of "curious, kind, and ambitious builders" [invopop.com]. - **Work Model**: Hybrid (with offices in Madrid and London). The Built In profile notes "OnSite Workspace" with employees working from physical offices, but job postings also indicate a hybrid model. - **Compensation**: Y Combinator profile lists salary ranges for roles (e.g., €50K - €140K EUR) plus significant equity (0.10% - 1.00%), which is typical for an early-stage, high-growth startup. - **Engineering Culture**: Focus on backend product engineering with a modern tech stack (GOBL, API-first). The team is small (7-17 people), offering significant ownership and impact. ## Sources 1. [invopop.com](https://www.invopop.com/) 2. [invopop.com/about](https://www.invopop.com/about) 3.
