Work Hours: Monday – Friday split shift, Approximate work hours are 6:30am - 8:30 am and 3:00 pm - 5:30pm. Rate of Pay: beginning salary at $21.37/hour (based on experience) $1,000 Sign-On Bonus Commercial Driver License (CDL): A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required to operate a school bus. S Endorsement strongly preferred. Job Responsibilities: School bus drivers pick-up and drop-off students via established routes to and from school. They may also transport students and faculty for field trips, sporting events, summer camps, and other school-related activities. School bus drivers must be attentive to traffic and weather conditions while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of passengers. They must verify that their vehicles are operating properly each day by testing brakes, tires and other components by submitting a daily vehicle maintenance report.
