RES is looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team. At RES, we are dedicated to restoring and protecting the land and water that sustain us. This position is based in our Orlando, FL office, and the selected candidate is expected to work from the office and surrounding Orlando or Tampa area. Approximately 20-40% of your time will be spent in the field, supporting projects across the West Coast or Central Florida. Fieldwork within the Orlando or Tampa areas will typically begin and end at the office. A Day in the Life: You might start your day organizing a field sampling effort for a complex site assessment, coordinating with regulatory agencies, or mentoring junior staff on SOPs and safety protocols. In the field, you’ll collect environmental data, troubleshoot logistics, and ensure everything from groundwater measurements to sediment samples is performed to spec. Back in the office, you’ll analyze large datasets, review lab results, and translate complex findings into clear, accurate technical reports. You’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams and support project managers to ensure deliverables are not only completed on time—but are thoughtful, thorough, and compliant with regional regulatory requirements.  This will be a project manager role.  You would be expected to complete the RES project manager program as part of your employment.
