We replace legacy systems like NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle with a unified platform for the general ledger, revenue automation, and close management — powered by our proprietary Large Accounting Model. We're backed by Accel, Ribbit Capital, Foundation Capital, and Y Combinator, and trusted by fast-growing companies like PostHog, Replit, and Klarity. With more than $100m in funding, we're scaling the team that puts Campfire in front of every finance leader who's tired of software built for the 1990s. ## THE ROLE We're hiring an SDR Manager to build and lead the team that generates our pipeline. You'll own the top of the funnel — hiring, coaching, and scaling a team of sales development reps who turn cold and warm interest into qualified meetings for our Account Executives. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role: you'll be setting the outbound playbook, obsessing over conversion metrics, and developing the next generation of Campfire sellers. If you love the craft of prospecting and the challenge of turning a group of reps into a predictable pipeline engine, this is for you. ## WHAT YOU'LL DO - Hire, onboard, and develop a team of SDRs, creating a culture of high activity, accountability, and continuous learning. - Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation: set targets for meetings booked and qualified opportunities, and consistently hit them. - Build and refine outbound sequences, messaging, and territory/account strategies tailored to finance leaders (CFOs, VPs of Finance, Controllers). - Coach reps 1:1 on cold calling, email, social selling, objection handling, and multithreading into finance and accounting orgs. - Partner closely with Marketing on inbound lead follow-up, campaigns, and MQL-to-SQL conversion. - Partner with Sales leadership and AEs to ensure smooth handoffs and a shared definition of a qualified opportunity. - Own your team's use of the tech stack (CRM, sales engagement, data/enrichment tools) and keep data clean and reporting accurate. - Track, analyze, and report on funnel metrics — activity, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution — and use them to drive improvement. - Create a clear career path that develops SDRs into future AEs and sales leaders. ## WHAT YOU'LL BRING - 1+ years managing an SDR/BDR team, plus prior success as an SDR or AE yourself. - A track record of building or scaling pipeline in a B2B SaaS environment — bonus points for selling into finance, fintech, or the office of the CFO. - Strong command of outbound fundamentals and modern prospecting tools (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot, Outreach/Salesloft, Apollo/ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator). - A coaching mindset — you get energy from developing people and celebrating their wins. - Data fluency: you make data-driven decisions from verified funnel metrics, can spot where a rep or a sequence is breaking down, and coach directly to those gaps. - Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth startup where you'll help define the process, not just follow it. - Excellent communication skills and a genuine curiosity about how finance teams work. ## WHY CAMPFIRE - Ground-floor impact at a Series B company scaling one of the most exciting categories in software — AI-native finance. - Build the pipeline engine that fuels the entire go-to-market motion. - Competitive salary and OTE, meaningful equity, and full benefits. ## About Campfire ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Campfire is an AI-native Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform that automates accounting workflows — including transaction categorization, bank reconciliation, revenue recognition, and reporting — for mid-market and enterprise finance teams. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series B) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, United States (also New York office) - **Founded**: 2023 - **Founders**: John Glasgow (CEO/CFO) and Paul C Nichols (CTO) are key executives; founding team details are not publicly disclosed. ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Accounting & Finance Software / Enterprise SaaS - **Target customers**: B2B – mid-size to enterprise companies (50–5,000 employees), including SaaS, usage-based, consulting, and transaction-heavy businesses - **Mission / Purpose**: “Superpower your accounting team” – Campfire aims to multiply what finance teams can do by automating manual, repetitive tasks so they can focus on strategic business drivers rather than spreadsheets. ## Products & Services - **Core Accounting (General Ledger)**: Multi-entity consolidation with 180+ currencies, global compliance support, and real-time sync. - **Revenue Automation**: Revenue recognition for any billing model (SaaS, usage, etc.). - **Close Management**: Built-in close checklists, flux analysis, account reconciliations, and autonomous reconciliation. - **Reporting**: Real-time dashboards with drill-down to any transaction. - **AI Assistant (Ember)**: Conversational AI that answers questions, detects anomalies, auto-categorizes transactions, performs cash forecasting, and more. - **Integrations**: 100+ natively built integrations (e.g., Ramp, Rippling, Salesforce) plus 1,200+ granular permission controls. All offerings are cloud-based SaaS with API endpoints for custom workflows. ## Market Standing - **Valuation / Market Cap**: Not disclosed (private company) - **Key Metric**: Total Funding = **$103.6M** (as of late 2025); Annual Revenue = **$3.9M** (LinkedIn estimate) - **Notable Investors**: Accel, Ribbit Capital (led Series B), Foundation Capital, Y Combinator, Capital49 (Airwallex) - **Growth Signals**: - Headcount grew **+800% year-over-year** to 81 employees - 25 active job postings (monthly postings down 7.4% but quarterly up 525%, yearly up 1,150%) - Customers include Replit, Decagon, PostHog, Advisor360 - LinkedIn followers grew +341.4% year-over-year ## Competitive Advantages - **AI-native foundation**: Autonomous reconciliation, auto-categorization, anomaly detection, and conversational reporting built into the core product – not bolted on. - **Depth for scaling**: Multi-entity, multi-currency (180+ currencies), unlimited entities, and granular permission controls ideal for global high-growth companies. - **Integrated ecosystem**: 100+ native integrations and 1,200+ permissions, reducing manual data entry and spreadsheet reliance. - **Domain expertise**: In-house support from accountants who have closed books themselves. - **Enterprise readiness**: Policies, roles, approval workflows, and comprehensive compliance support. ## Strategic Focus - **Product expansion**: Continuing to add AI capabilities (Ember assistant, flux analysis, cash forecasting) and deepen core accounting features. - **Global scaling**: Supporting international subsidiaries and compliance (EMEA, Australia presence) while growing headcount across sales, customer success, and engineering. - **Talent acquisition**: Aggressively hiring (25+ open roles) across sales, customer success, engineering, and implementation – particularly looking for people who want “real ownership” in a hyper-growth startup. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Described as “hyper-growth startup” where employees get “meaningful responsibility from day one.” The team includes alumni from Deloitte, PwC, NetSuite, Brex, Rippling, and other top finance/tech companies. - **Work model**: In-office (on-site) – offices in San Francisco and New York City. - **Notable perks**: Not detailed in search results, but the company emphasizes a driven, ownership-minded environment and the chance to “do the kind of work that moves your career forward.” - **Engineering culture**: 13% of staff in technical roles, with a focus on building AI-first solutions. The CTO (Paul C Nichols) leads a team that includes AI engineers. ## Sources 1. [Campfire AI](https://campfire.ai/) 2. [Campfire Careers](https://campfire.ai/careers) 3.
