Job Brief: We are looking for a Senior Accountant to own the accounting and close process across Wahed’s multiple entities and currencies. You will run month-end closure to tight deadlines, manage reconciliations and treasury activity, support financial projections, and work closely with finance and business stakeholders around the world. Job Description: Accounting & Books Closure - Own the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close across multiple entities, delivering accurate books within agreed monthly closure deadlines. - Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and intercompany transactions. - Manage multi-currency accounting, including FX revaluation, translation and consolidation into group reporting currency. - Prepare the consolidation of books of account across group entities, including intercompany eliminations, and deliver consolidated financial statements. - Maintain a clean, well-documented general ledger and close checklist, and continuously improve the close timeline. Reconciliations - Perform bank, intercompany, balance sheet and payment-platform reconciliations across entities and currencies. - Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly, escalating issues with clear analysis. Treasury - Support daily cash positioning and liquidity monitoring across bank accounts, entities and regions. - Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and coordinate intercompany funding and fund movements. - Monitor FX exposure and support decisions on currency conversions and payments. Financial Projections & Analysis - Build and maintain financial projections, and support budgeting and forecasting with the FP&A team. - Analyse results against budget and prior periods, explaining key movements to management. Stakeholder Management & Compliance - Work with global stakeholders across finance, operations, product, and external partners in multiple time zones. - Support statutory audits, tax filings and regulatory reporting, preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries. - Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and automate manual accounting processes.
