Our mission has remained constant from day one: to unlock access and enable companies and consumers to participate in the digital economy, no matter where they are. What started as a bold vision has grown into a platform that connects some of the world’s largest digital businesses with customers across 21 of the fastest-growing markets. We operate where complexity exists — turning local challenges into global opportunities, and building the infrastructure that allows payments to move further, faster, and smarter. We are a team of builders and problem-solvers. We think globally, act with curiosity, and believe diversity of thought is a competitive advantage. As EBANX enters its next phase of hyper growth, we are looking for people who want to shape the future of payments, expand what’s possible, and help connect businesses and consumers across borders. Let’s build what’s next — together. As a Senior Fraud Prevention and Chargeback Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact challenges across the entire chargeback lifecycle — from operational strategy and representment to fraud investigations, data analysis, automation, and process optimization. You will work closely with global merchants, acquirers, banking partners, Product, and Engineering, developing a broad view of the payments ecosystem while helping us build smarter and more scalable ways to manage fraud and chargebacks. What your day-to-day will look like - Manage and optimize the end-to-end chargeback lifecycle, including notifications, representment, operational controls, and financial performance, while ensuring compliance with card scheme and partner SLAs; - Act as a trusted advisor to EBANX merchants, providing guidance on fraud and chargeback best practices and identifying opportunities to improve their results; - Monitor and analyze key fraud and chargeback indicators, such as chargeback rate and win rate, identifying trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities for optimization; - Conduct complex fraud and chargeback investigations, translating large volumes of data into actionable insights and recommendations; - Map and continuously improve operational processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, scalability, and financial performance; - Build and monitor operational and executive dashboards, transforming data into clear insights that support business decisions; - Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify operational pain points, propose solutions, and support the development of new features and automations; - Collaborate directly with acquirers and banking partners, aligning operational processes and developing strategic fraud and chargeback flows that support EBANX’s business expansion; - Monitor changes in card scheme rules, payment regulations, and local regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on EBANX, our merchants, and our operational processes; - Support the management, investigation, documentation, and resolution of operational incidents related to fraud and chargebacks; - Leverage AI, automation, and data-driven solutions to optimize routines, automate reporting and data extraction, and increase the team’s operational efficiency; - Bring a senior perspective to the team by challenging existing processes, proposing improvements, sharing knowledge, and helping turn complex operational problems into scalable solutions. What you need to shine in this role - Solid experience in Fraud Prevention, Chargebacks, Disputes, Payments Risk, or related areas within the payments, banking, fintech, acquiring, or e-commerce ecosystem; - Strong knowledge of the chargeback lifecycle, including dispute management, representment, card scheme rules, and operational SLAs; - Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to investigate complex scenarios, identify patterns, and translate findings into business recommendations; - Experience monitoring and interpreting fraud and chargeback KPIs and using them to drive operational and strategic decisions; - Ability to navigate complex and dynamic environments, managing different priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and ownership; - Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset; - Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and collaborate with different stakeholders, including merchants, financial partners, Product, and Engineering teams; - Proactive and autonomous profile, comfortable taking ownership of problems and driving solutions from identification through implementation; - Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global business environment. Bonus points if you have - Experience working directly with card schemes, acquirers, issuers, banks, or global merchants; - Knowledge of Brazilian payments and fraud regulations, including BACEN requirements, MED, and Bloqueio Cautelar; - Experience with data visualization and the creation of operational or executive dashboards; - Experience with process automation, AI tools, AI agents, or other technologies applied to fraud, chargebacks, reporting, or operational efficiency; - Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to develop or improve fraud and chargeback solutions; - Knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools; - Experience working in a global fintech or high-growth technology environment.
