Founded in 2012, the FinTech connects consumers with banks in the EU, the UK and the US. This gives consumers better interest rates and banks a diversified form of refinancing. Our vision is to offer savings and investments without barriers and thus open up the global 160 trillion euro market. Raisin currently employs more than 800 people from over 75 countries worldwide. Today, the platform holds over 80 billion euros in assets from more than one million investors which have accrued over 5 billion euros in returns. ## Team The Raisin Group Credit Risk Management team is part of the second line of defense and is responsible for the oversight of credit risks across Raisin’s commercial, treasury, and financial counterparties. While Raisin does not engage in traditional lending, we are exposed to credit risk through receivables, guarantees, investments, and other contractual obligations. Our team ensures these risks are consistently identified, assessed, monitored, and reported in line with Raisin’s risk appetite and strategic goals. We work closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Controlling, and Business Units to maintain a consistent and effective risk framework. We value a collaborative, data-driven approach and foster an inclusive environment that supports continuous learning and diverse perspectives. ## Your Responsibilities As our Credit Risk Manager, you will take full ownership of our credit risk framework, operating as a hands-on builder and independent risk partner. This role requires the resilience to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, the technical agility to modernize our reporting infrastructure using Looker and Mambu, and the expertise to tackle operational backlogs while ensuring robust risk steering across our diverse portfolio. Key Responsibilities: - Credit Analysis: You will perform independent credit risk analysis of counterparties and transactions (corporates, financial institutions, sovereigns), evaluating financials, business models, and structures. - Infrastructure & Data Ownership: You will architect and maintain your own reporting infrastructure using Looker, Mambu, and Google Sheets, ensuring high data quality across all risk processes. - Strategic Risk Steering: You will drive data-driven decision-making by creating insightful risk dashboards and reporting that directly influence senior management’s strategic steering. - Proactive Portfolio Monitoring: You will maintain strict oversight of credit developments, identifying sector concentrations and deteriorating risk profiles to facilitate proactive risk mitigation. - Provisioning & Forecasting: You will manage loan loss provisioning processes in accordance with IFRS 9 and ECL frameworks, including staging assessments and qualitative overlays. - Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure strict adherence to internal risk limits and external regulatory requirements (e.g., CRR, MaRisk, Basel III/IV). - Project Management: You will lead or participate in initiatives to improve data quality, enhance systems, and validate models, driving the modernization of our risk infrastructure. - Cross-Functional Partnership: You will act as a partner to the Front Office, Finance, and Risk Controlling teams, providing expert guidance on credit risk topics while balancing business growth objectives with robust risk management frameworks. ## Your Profile We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk professional who operates with a high degree of autonomy, bringing both the technical capability to build processes from scratch and the resilience to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes. The ideal candidate combines deep analytical expertise with the strategic mindset to challenge assumptions and safeguard the Raisin Bank’s risk appetite. Key Requirements: - Professional Background: You hold a university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Holding professional certifications such as the FRM or CFA designation is an added advantage. - Experience: You bring 5+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, risk controlling, or credit structuring within banking or financial services. - Analytical Competence: You possess a proven ability to assess transactional credit risk, including business models, financial covenants, collateral, and legal documentation. - Regulatory Knowledge: You demonstrate a strong working knowledge of IFRS 9 concepts (staging, ECL) and European regulatory frameworks (CRR, Basel III/IV, MaRisk). - Operational Resilience: You demonstrate high personal resilience and comfort navigating a fast-paced, forming fintech environment. You possess the strength of character required to navigate significant stakeholder pressure and thrive on "change the bank" projects. - Proactive Mindset: You maintain a highly self-directed approach to identifying deteriorating risk profiles and portfolio concentrations, with the capability to take full ownership of the scope with minimal guidance. - Technical Proficiency:  You are skilled at managing risk data using Looker, Mambu, and Google Sheets. Knowledge of programming skills (Python/SQL) and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI) are a definite asset. - Communication & Influence: You show a proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics; you possess the strength of character to hold firm on risk decisions under pressure and effectively bridge the gap between the first and second lines of defense. - Language: Your primary working language is English; no German language proficiency is required.
