The ideal candidate will support the analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting of financial data across multiple DoW organizations and systems. This position requires expertise in intragovernmental transactions, trading partner eliminations, buyer and seller-side transaction analysis, financial statement support, and federal financial management requirements. The candidate will work directly with government stakeholders to improve data quality, resolve reconciliation variances, strengthen audit readiness, and support accurate financial reporting. ## Responsibilities - Support preparation, review, and analysis of DoW financial reports and financial statement data - Validate financial information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal accounting requirements - Analyze trial balance activity, financial statement line items, and supporting schedules - Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting activities - Perform buyer-side and seller-side trading partner reconciliations - Analyze intragovernmental transactions to identify reporting discrepancies between federal entities - Research and resolve unmatched balances, abnormal conditions, and data integrity issues - Coordinate resolution efforts with financial management offices, DFAS personnel, and other DoW components - Support reconciliation and elimination of intragovernmental balances and activities - Conduct detailed analyses of trading partner reporting data and supporting transactions - Review and validate reciprocal category information - Develop recommendations to improve reconciliation processes and reporting accuracy - Collaborate with DoW financial management organizations, accounting offices, system owners, and program stakeholders - Present reconciliation results, risks, and recommendations to client leadership - Participate in working groups, meetings, and reporting reviews supporting financial statement accuracy ## Minimum Requirements - Active Top Secret Security Clearance - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline - Minimum 8-10 years of experience supporting federal financial management programs - Demonstrated experience supporting Department of War financial management operations - Experience performing trading partner reconciliations and intragovernmental transaction analysis - Experience analyzing buyer-side and seller-side financial data - Experience supporting federal financial reporting and financial statement preparation - Experience researching and resolving financial data discrepancies, variances, and reconciliation issues - Experience supporting audit readiness, internal controls, or financial statement audits - Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving - Ability to work with clients to understand their needs - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Professional presence ## Preferred Skills - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Experience supporting OUSD(C), DFAS, Army, Navy, or Air Force - Experience with USSGL, GTAS, Treasury reporting, or SFIS - Experience supporting audit remediation and financial statement compilation - Familiarity with ERP environments such as GFEBS, DAI, Navy ERP, DEAMS, or similar systems - Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently - Strong customer and vendor relationship skills - Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies - Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value ## About CSCI CSCI is an award-winning information technology and financial management consulting firm founded on one simple philosophy: “Do what is right, always.” We apply this philosophy across all elements of our growing business, from delivering world-class services for customers to providing an environment where associates thrive both personally and professionally.
