The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic setting and is excited to design, build, and operate services that serve millions of users. Strong backend engineering fundamentals are essential, along with experience in designing distributed systems, working with databases, and owning services in production. If you enjoy solving hard engineering problems at scale and want to have a real impact on products used around the world, we would love to hear from you! ## Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs - Participate in architecture and design discussions; write and review technical design documents - Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with comprehensive unit and integration test coverage - Optimize database schemas and queries; ensure performance and reliability under load - Build event-driven and asynchronous workflows using message brokers - Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems; take part in incident response and post-mortems - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and engineering best practices - Perform code reviews and mentor Middle and Junior engineers - Collaborate with Product, Design, Frontend, QA, and DevOps to deliver features end to end - Maintain clear API and technical documentation ## ABOUT THE TEAM You will join a product engineering team of backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps engineers working closely with Product and Design. The team owns its services end to end: from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and on-call support.
